The condenser was known to be leaking (visually) and holding lower pressure than needed to run. Service began with clear discussion about repair, not replacement. The technician tested with his probe, advising that the leak was at a fitting and he could repair. The air handler was in good condition. This view changed later. The technician stated that the leak was within the fins and could not be repaired. Meanwhile, having not repaired the unit, he had filled the system with 5 lbs of freon and run up a bill of $585. We discussed sealer and the technician stated that would cost an additional $400. We also discussed replacement of the condenser with a Trane unit (covered top). I received a quote in email for $5600 to do an R&R (remove and replace), stating that the company would not replace the condenser only "due to liability reasons". The quoted system was not a Trane and the model number was 14 SEER (not stated specifically), less than the efficiency of the current unit! The quote was $1400 higher than a rejected quote for a 14 SEER from another firm. Why quote a system of lesser efficiency? Why would I accept that? Wow. So here I was, trying to avoid the high margin game of R&R and just get the unit repaired or sealed, now with the surprise of $585 to diagnose and fill a system still with an active leak. Did I click the "accept quote now" button? Not a chance! Most probably do just that. But I know this game and have maintained HVAC units for years. Amazon has the Leak Shot Pro Sealer (leaksavers.com). I ordered that and easily injected the sealer with the CO2 gun. Will it work or will it destroy the system? So far, so good! At least I'll try to keep this unit running. Homeowners be aware and try not to be another victim of the R&R money game. It seems to be everywhere.

It was great! I've been using Rome Aire for 15 years and they never miss a beat. They are responsive both during emergencies and nonemergency situations. Their prices are very reasonable. If there is an issue, they make appropriate recommendations.

I was referred to Rome-Air my my pool company, Eagle Pools, not knowing they serviced Hayward Pool Pumps - which was a god send as I've been scammed on my Hayward Heat Pump by the company Hayward sent to me. Dan Vaughan showed up at my house ready for action and professionally, quickly, diagnosed the problem, even cleaned my pool filter to see where the issue may have been, and for a very reasonable service price and a few parts, got out pump up and running without drama. I came to find that my wife used Rome Aire when she ran the local Public Storage(s) as well. Super happy and I'm a fan and client as long as we live in South Florida! . Mold was forming in the pipe that goes to the outside of the house plugging the pipe which then leaded into the closet. Danny suggested the Reme Halo system to help with this problem, This systems also help reduce allergies. My husband has not had the problems he used to have prior to the installation of this system.

I was very pleased with RomeAire. The installers did an excellent job. They were professional, neat, knowledgeable and did not rush. I was very pleased with their installation.

About 5 years ago, my husband and I were looking to replace our 13 year old unit before we had any massive problems. Plus, we also wanted to go with a unit that was more efficient. Rome Aire was THE ONLY company that came out on time and was professional and explained to us the best unit for our home. They came out 5 days later to install the unit and all of the technicians that have ever come to our home have been nothing but courteous, friendly, and so understanding. We have consistently used Rome Aire for the past 5 years and I recommend them to everyone that "Needs an A/C company." I love them even more now than I did the day they installed my unit. My neighbor even had problems with her unit and after waiting 5 hours for another company to NEVER SHOW, I quick whipped out my cell phone and called Rome Aire. They got a tech out to her house in 30 minutes to diagnose the problem and my neighbor was up and running again in less than a day. In South Florida, it is so rare to find a company that comes when they say they will, do the job in a timely fashion AND charge a reasonable fee for their services. But guess what? Rome Aire does all these things! These guys are just great. Rome Aire needs more than 5 stars. They are really a perfect 10.

Extremely well. Ali and Todd were great. Punctual, professional, informative and friendly. They came on time and finished on time and everything worked perfectly. This is the second a/c I have had Rome Air replaced and am always very happy with their service. Prices are reasonable and they have promotions.

Ive been dealing with Rome Aire for years now. They're always professional and have helped me with jobs of all sizes from small problems with my home AC and contracts maintaining units in several of my rental locations. They always come out when they say they will and get the job done right. Theyve even saved me money a few times when I thought a couple of my units needed replacing but it turned out to be a smaller electrical issue. Give them a shot

Went ok once the A team took over

It went great. Took a couple of days to get on their schedule however once the tech came out we were back up and running in quick order at a reasonable cost.

Our first experience was good enough just getting filters changed and checking systems. That was over a year ago. 
We asked them to come in again after dealing with another company that did not work out.
1st Visit:
We specifically asked for a filter change.
The technician shows up and is more focused on the young customer service girls than actually doing any work. He spends a couple hours going up on the roof and then hanging around chatting until by the time he gets to the third unit the production person is in and he cannot get to the unit.
I tell him to ignore the third and ask about the first two - turns out he doesn't have filters. I explain that was the main purpose of the visit and we will need it done. He is annoyed and explains that we will need to go get filters for him. We call the company and he gets a phone call and visibly angry. Comes back hours later and puts the filters in. We never watched if he went back on the roof again.
2nd Visit: 
Our 1st unit starts malfunctioning immediately. First it will last a few days before tripping the breaker and then a day finally trips immediately. 
We call the company and request a technician other than him to come out and fix whatever is broken. We are concerned that he knowingly caused the issue.
Technician comes out and spends over an hour before I go out to find him hanging in his truck playing on his phone. He states that it's all good. We walk inside, turn on the unit and it goes off again. Turns out he 'tested' the wrong unit. Comes back with a part and says that was the problem $240.
This morning the unit is popping off when we try and turn it on again. I am done with this company.

I’ve been dealing with him for 10 years. It’s always been excellent. I would say that their timely response is very good. Their prices are fair. The service is good. The quality of their service is good too. The quality was excellent. They are very responsive, very punctual and very professional.

Contacted Rome on Monday morning after one of our A/c units caused a short in our breaker box. We had the breaker box replaced on Monday and Rome showed up on Tuesday at 8 am with 2 new Ruud units. At least 5 men worked all day and completely replace everything. They did a wonderful job in one day.
