Shady. The only reason we had to go with Prospect Mortgage was because other banks stopped lending in the property we were buying. From the beginning, it was difficult to get a straight answer from Norman, including the closing costs and the interest rate. Eventually we received an estimated closing cost and an interest rate. The interest rate was higher than the market rate but that might be because no other bank lends in our building. The closing costs estimates came out about 30% more that originally disclosed. They kept making us run around collecting paperwork several times because they were too slow to process the loan and required new paystubs, bank statements, etc.Our loan was sold right away and the new loan servicer is missing master policy paperwork not sure whose fault that is but I would guess when a loan is sold, the selling company should include and update all the paperwork (especially for all the fees they charged)We would not use them again.
