Home Healthcare - Medical Alert Systems
Mobilehelp makes it very hard to cancel their services. Our family paid a full year in advance after being told that we would get 2 months free – 14 months of coverage for the price of 12 months. Don’t fall for this ploy! My mother-in-law passed away after 7 months of membership and now we only get credit for the remaining 5 months. Since she died we do not get the extra 2 months of credit. Pay monthly by check. Do not give these people your credit card number. Our family has a brother that is in need of a fall device so I wanted to get a credit on my account and transfer the equipment to my brother. Can’t be done! They must receive the original equipment back and then my brother can order his own device. We had to box up the equipment, put the account number on the outside of the box, and wait for a shipping label. It took three phone calls and 36 hours to get the shipping label. (another 3 days of paying for the membership) And get this. . .the return address on the shipping label was my mother-in-laws address! The next step was to wait to get a call from the Accounting Department so they could verify that we wanted to cancel service. Really? The box of equipment was sitting on the desk in the Accounting Department and they still needed to verify that we wanted to cancel service? I never received a call. I called them and confirmed they received the equipment. This delay cost us another 6 days of membership. It took over 3 weeks, but we finally received my refund. $82.00! I received $82.00 for 5 months of unused service from this company. You wouldn’t believe the formula they use to calculate your refund. It should be illegal. ABSOLUTE CROOKS

Home Healthcare - Medical Alert Systems
After researching more than a dozen monitoring services, I ordered Mobile Help. Traditional medical alert systems only work within 300 to 600 feet of a base unit which is connected to a landline phone. Mobile Help offers 3 different systems: and quot;Classicand quot; landline only, and quot;Soloand quot; wireless only, and and quot;Duoand quot; landline-plus-wireless. I ordered the landline-plus-wireless and quot;Duoand quot; system which comes with a landline base unit and a hand-held mobile unit (about the size of a small cell phone) for wireless GPS monitoring away from home. Each system comes with a choice of 2 help buttons -- neck pendant or wrist strap. I chose one of each.
During Hurricaine Sandy, my landline phone was out of service for 9 days. I don't think we've seen the end of and quot;super storms, and quot; so I wanted a system with both landline and wireless connectivity... and a car charger, too. At home, I leave the wireless unit in its charger and wear the small pendant because the base unit speaker is loud enough to be heard throughout the house. When I leave home, I take the wireless unit with me, so that my GPS location and medical information will be available to paramedics wherever I go.
The price of the Mobile Help and quot;Duoand quot; system is comparable to dual-type systems of other providers, but it is significantly more expensive than landline-only systems. It's reassuring to know that Mobile Help has an and quot;Aand quot; rating with the Better Business Bureau. Last year, I ordered the same and quot;Duoand quot; system for my 90-year-old mother who lives alone, and she's been happy with it. My system arrived last week, and I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and its operation. I found the sales reps, call-monitoring responders and technical staff to be very polite, patient and helpful. Setting up the system is simple; I'm a handicapped 70-year-old woman and it took me less than 10 minutes.

They were able to see all the buildings on my property, which I was impressed with. It's one of the few I found that you don't have to be in your own residence for them to track you. Their coverage is nationwide. So far I have not had an emergency, but I have been pleased with the service I have received.
