JT Property Inspections & Services, Incorporated

Three years ago, my husband and I bought our first home. Our realtor recommended JT inspections and their inspector Carlton Moore, did our inspection. He blatantly lied on our inspection report and put we had copper pipes. We did not know until recently, that we have polybutylene pipes. We want to sell our home. It is going to cost us over $12,000 plus to get the correct piping. We reached out to JT inspections to give them the opportunity to make things right. Their excuse was Carlton Moore is no longer with the company, their insurance is not going to bother, and our time for help has run out. What kind of company is this? No accountability for the mess they created? Is it fair to us that we were given wrong information from an inspector they hired and that we might lose out on potential sales for this issue? Many of you gave this company excellent ratings as if they have integrity, they do not. Make money off the misinformed and ignorant. I was wondering how many people their inspector did this to and I see it occurred more than once. Now, we have to get our lawyer. Maybe we should get a class action lawsuit. By the way, we are still within the Florida Statute of Limitations. They need to read. I was wondering if it was racial, but it is not. It's greed and selfishness. This is a matter of principle and apparently the owner has none.

The inspector from JT Property Inspections And Environmental Services, Inc was not very competent as they missed multiple problems with my brand New Construction home, such as several cracked / broken tiles on the roof, loose window sill, gaps in the siding for the A/C unit outside, etc. These problems were pointed out to me by a differential inspection company I hired (he cost $200 less too) because after I moved into the house I kept finding problems myself and I'm no housing expert. When I informed JT Property Inspections about this they could not explain how their inspector missed these items. They insisted that these problems could have occurred at a later date. When I asked them how several roof tiles could become broken on a New Construction house without us having a hurricane or bad storm etc or how the gap in the siding could magically occur they had no response.

I felt it went "GREAT"; the crew was communicating everything they were doing to me. They took pictures, measurements, checked crawl space in roof and electrical  threw out the property and gave recommendations regarding everything they did during the process while I was there. The owner of JT Property Inspection was on site. With a crew of guys and the owner on site I learned a lot about the house I did not know about nor did the previous told me about. That?s what a ?Professional? company like JT Property Inspection is supposed to do.

The inspection was very thorough. The entire team arrived at the agreed time and was efficient in identifying all of the pros and cons of the prospective property. There inspection led to a solid appraisal that significantly enhanced bargaining and subsequently lowered the seller's asking price.

At first we thought the inspection  that JT Inspections performed went well.  Until we purchased the home and were living
in the home for a week.  The first week
in our brand new home, in the middle of the night we heard faint noises in the
attic.  We called a local pest control
company.  They informed us that we had a
huge mice infestation that has been going on for quite awhile.  We asked in his opinion how long he felt the
mouse issue was going on and he said he believed at least a year.  The pest control inspector brought us up in
the attic to show us the damage to insulation where the mice had burrowed path
ways and the amount of mouse droppings on the floor was insane.  Although I am not an inspector or have any
experience, I could easily see the droppings and the damage to the insulation. The
major area of the attic affected was in AC duct area above my babies crib.  If you don?t know mouse droppings can cause respiratory
 disease. The pest control inspector advised
us that the amount of mice dropping above the air duct flowing into our
daughters room where her crib was directly bellows was dangerous and not safe for
our daughter to sleep.  We had the mice
issue taken care of for the low low price of $4,000. I called JT Inspections
asking why we weren?t told of the mice issue. 
The JT inspector who performed our home inspection  told me that its in the contract that they
don?t do pest inspection but generally it is the inspectors call to either mention
or  not something they see.  So my response was ?since you didn?t FEEL
like mentioning what you saw, you cost us $4000 which I could have negotiated
with the seller had we know of the issue before hand?.  The JT inspector had nothing to say and I
could tell that he was annoyed by my call.
