Welcome to Edge Automotive AKA Boca Raton Automotive Repair. We specialize in Mercedes Benz – BMW – Porsche – Audi and all European car repairs. We perform all dealers’ specified preventive maintenance such as Mercedes A and B services and BMW comprehensive service Edge Automotive is a spacious 6000 square foot high tech facility which is conveniently located in northeast Boca Raton. My experience for this particular service was dissappointing. When initially turning in the truck, we wanted the truck serviced, but were very unclear as to the details of of the "305,000 mile scheduled service". The ad card I received (attached to review) in the mail specifically states, "Please call us for more details about your scheduled service." Upon asking, we were not really given any details, except that they were not sure what needed to be done and we would be called if any work needed to be performed. At this point, I was satisfied with this answer because I generally needed the truck looked over. I personally spoke with the service manager and explained the vehicle's issue with the oil leak and I understood there was no easy fix. I explained we have been applying a "Stop Leak" solution in combination with the oil and it seems to help pretty good. When they reported the truck was ready to be picked up, they reported the brakes on the truck needed to be completely changed: rotors, calipers, pads, brake lines, everything. They also told me they changed the oil and charged me $170. I explained that I did not really want the oil changed, because we change the oil ourselves and just completed this task... I was never really able to finish because I was given a fairly obtuse attitude about how I should've known this was going to happen. After that, I was basically given the riot act about how I wasn't going to pay. Given the fact I was going to pay, the comment was pretty insulting. I pretty much would pay a good mechanic whatever their time consituted just to look over a vehicle - it seems fair to me. What I was not happy about was that they changed the oil and drained all the stop leak solution out of my truck after I had just applied it 10 days prior - it was frustrating but not the end of the world. I did call the owner a couple hours later to try and discuss the matter. I was not really given an opportunity to explain anything. Basically, we were stupid for not knowing they were going to change the oil when a vehcile is serviced. BTW, we were also provided with a barrage of lewd comments and told they "didn't have time for this s**t and you just don't want to pay!" Here is deal from my perspective. Regardless as to whether we were idiots for not knowing if the truck's oil should have been changed in this type of service, I would have appreciated them telling us a oil change is a clear and definitive part of the deal for whatever price. All of these shops are different and you really just do not know what they are going to do when you drop off your vehicle off half the time. Making me out to be an idiot and trying to slip the bill is not appreciated. The bold curse words directed and me and my office manager were completely unexeptable. This was a case of miscommunication that should have been cleared up professionally. BTW, I left a check for $170 the next day in their drop-off window. It was not worth it for me not to pay... However, if they did not want to listen to why I was not happy, unfortunately, I must write the review.

Our entire workplace are loyal customers. Mike and his team are fantastic. They are my first call when any warning light comes on. I have every confidence that I'm not being overcharged and they take the time to explain what they find. If the repair involves my CarMax warranty, they work with customer service on my behalf. They take all the stress out of car troubles. Today, they replaced two bolts for me and I was on my way in 10 minutes. I highly, highly recommend this business.

The company did help set me up with the one car credit card since I was in Brevard county and unable to be there myself. Everything was handled over the phone and by  fax. I faxed over a copy of my license, an additional credit card and my Angels List discount. Everything was somewhat smooth although one of the office workers was very helpful and very nice while  there was one that was not. The company did not honor my angels list discount listed on there web page which I printed and faxed over. I used this company because it was top rated on angels list in the area of my daughters school.

The following repairs were performed on my 1977 Lincoln Mark V . 4 new Toyo tires balanced and aligned, 4 new Monroe shocks, remove and clean  and reinstall 4 calipers. conversion of air conditioning system and installation of a POA valve in AC compressor.

Well that's more than I thought my car needed but I'm happy that Robert pointed out the necessary work my classic Lincoln needed. They did an excellent job in all aspects of my repairs and under the circumstances I believe the price was fair for the extensive amount of work performed. I had to wait a week for the POA valve because one was not readily available locally but that's to be expected when you own a classic car and understandable. I was also pleasantly surprised to find my car washed and looking great when I arrived to pick it up ! When I thanked Robert the shop manager he said that they wash every customers car. This was a shocker to me since in all the years I've walked this planet no repair shop has ever washed my car. I would highly recommend Edge automotive for any of you repair needs. They are true professionals in every sense of the word.

Robert, the service intake manager was couteous,professional and extremely focused on making my experience "no hassle".  They took the car in almost immediately, took it in immediately when I had minor battery problems as well.  They got me to and from work and were willing to make arrangements to deliver the car to my home once the work was finished.  Final bill was always as discussed and they even took care of some minor issues (door handle needed to be fixed) at no cost.  All in all, a pleasurable experience.  I would recommend them to anyone.

I took my 2006 Lexus ES330 to Edge Automotive for a 30,000 mile service after seeing the favorable reviews on Angie's List.  They installed a new battery, four new tires, oil change, new air and cabin filters, wheel alignment, and checked the car over for any other issues.  The service was timely and professional.  If I'm going to be driving an 8 year old car, I feel safe knowing Robert's crew have gone over it with a fine tooth comb and I'll get from Point A to Point B with no problems.  After the quality service I received from Edge Automotive, I took my sister's 2003 Toyota Camry in the next day for  a 90,000. mile service, since she would be driving the car back to Wisconsin.  They did the same fine job on her car and she got back to Wisconsin just fine.  Love you Edge Automotive!

We have a old MB (1983) which had a few things going out.  Edge Automotive was very good at diagnosing the problem and then fixed the car in the most cost effective and professional way.  We fully expected the service to cost quite a bit more than the actual bill.  The car is not only older, but it is an import from Germany, which poses a few more issues when performing service.  Edge did an excellent job and was able to get it done quickly.


When we went to find someone to service this car, we checked Angie's list.  The reviews were glowing, and the reviews are spot-on.  I plan on using Edge Automotive again, and highly recommend them.

I am a guy who has always enjoyed European cars; in addition I do a lot of mileage each year.  I started going to edge 4 years ago (from date of this posting), with my Certified Pre Owned Jaguar XJ8.  It was just out of warranty.  It had been serviced at the dealership up to its 100,000th mile all on Jaguars dime. Pulling into Edge with a with a new oil leak, they took the car in to diagnose the problem to repair it.  When I went to pick up the care, Shop owner actually took the time to talk to me, and suggested to me that it was time to sell the car.  They took care of the car much better than the local Jaguar Dealership.  

 Imagine this, a business owner talking himself out of a ?gravy train new customer?, a late model Jaguar customer who needs to keep his daily driver running smooth.    So glad I listened.

Going to Edge was originally at the referral of a friend (another car guy) who said go over and see ?my guys? at Edge, and they will make you happy.  When I pulled into the shop at first  it was filled with mostly late model high line European cars, and few cars I wish I could own.   I got a good feeling from the beginning. 

Next my SL500 (my previous SL), when the first thing went wrong on the car I brought it to Edge.  Wow, to find out they worked with the warranty policy I had bought at the Mercedes dealer when I bought the car.  They kept my car always serviced properly, as I like to own cars the notoriously need service.  You will find Edge Automotive to be honest, and stand behind making any job you go in for ?right?.

Today I drive a low mileage 06 SL500 and only go to Edge.  I have referred at least 10 people to Edge over the last few years including my employees, clients and family because I can feel confident they are going to be happy with the result and if anything goes wrong ever, Edge will always do the right thing.  

There is a positive energy in that shop.  It?s clean, comfortable and the personnel are all accommodating.  But once you will do business with them you will understand why you can feel comfortable with the car going to Edge Automotive to be repaired.  You may not like paying for a new car expense, but every car needs maintenance and repair at some point.  There are always alternative to taking your car to the dealership.

If I was reading the reviews and I wondering to myself should I trust this place? my opinion is, yes, and so are the opinions of the other that have taken the time to post a positive review on this site.
