Daniel was really nice, and he did a great job helping out my mom by fixing some basic bugs on her home computer and giving her a quick tutorial on efficient computer usage.

Fantastic. He was on vacation when I called and accessed by remote toi make sure there were no terrible problems. Scheduled house visit around my times as best possible. Very accommodating. desk set up neater than it's ever been, no loose wires. Speed improved. Very kind about my total lack of knowledge/interest in how everything works but very clear explanations of what I needed to know.

It took approximately 7 1/2 hours. The computer doctors had to start from the beginning. Recover files from my damage PC, then install programs on the new PC and install files that were recovered.

It went very well. Daniel arrived on time. He took a full two hours to clean up the computer mess. Daniel was patient, answered all my questions, and tweaked the settings on my computer to my satisfaction. He also checked the functions (printer, scanner) to make sure everything was operational before he left. He told me to feel free to call him at any time with questions. I understood that the fee was $75 per hour, so I was not surprised by my bill of $150. I felt it was fair, and that I got my money's worth. I would recommend them to anyone and would not hesitate to call them again.

My hard drive needed to be replaced. The provider left me with Windows 7 and instructions to install the operating system. I installed my hard drive this morning. I called, and five hours later he returned my phone call. I was unable to install everything, and the provider told me that he forgot to give me the programs I needed and wants to charge me an extra $75 to come out and give the programs to me.
I would be happy to make this a positive review if I receive my program in a timely manner.
UPDATE
He did called back a second time after reading this review and offered to drop program off to me that he forgot so i could activate Windows 7--
by then i called another service and paid another 75$ .
The new service company straighten everything out.

"When I first talked with [member name removed], he was having an issue with his laptop. It would turn on, but would not boot into windows. I told him that sounded like a bad hard drive and he should purchase another so I can reload windows onto it properly. He did not want to do that and instead had me come out just to diagnose it. I came out and diagnosed it like I had said. The hard drive was dead and he needed another one. He had another drive that was from a previous laptop. I cleaned a lot of stuff off of the drive. Then I tried to install windows on it. Windows would not install properly because there was something interfering with it. I could not fully wipe the drive because he still had important data on it. I had given him a windows reinstall disc and also put a driver reinstaller onto one of his usb flashdrives. I did forget to give him a small program that would allow him to use the driver installer because I was already there for an extra half hour and had tried to install windows twice onto the drive. I told him he could get the program he needed from a friend nearby or to go to the library and download it there. I thought I was helping him out since he had said he could reinstall it himself after buying and installing a new hard drive. Instead he told me he had gotten a virus from using a friend's machine and then had another technician from another company that has no association to Computer Doctors come and try to remove the virus unsuccessfully. Then he wanted me to come out for free to reinstall windows. I offered to help him over the phone to reinstall windows but he never followed up with me."

It was good. The guy was quite knowledgeable. He went over the laptop and got it operational again. He was real thorough and easy to work with. Sometimes you have to be patient, because he speaks one language and you speak another, when it comes to computers and my wife is not particularly savvy with computers but she is the one that depends on it so much. He was right on time. He was professional.

I am a retired CPA/ tax attorney and in my prior life frequently had to hire computer techs to keep my office running and up to date. I always had doubts as it seemed to me that they were inefficient and learning on my dollar or were deliberately stretching out the fix to increase their billable hours. I did not have this feeling with Dan from Computer Doctors as he clearly knew his stuff. I have used him services a second time since as I have bought new, additional equipment and needed his expertise on set-up. I wish I had found him 20+ years ago. Oh, I am not related to him nor do I know him socially.

When I brought this to their attention after they left, they tried to correct (remotely, and finnally gaveup. They advived me to buy anewer model computer as the only "fix". I found a fix myself later that day, and the computer has worked wellsince.

"We would like to respond that while cleaning out a system removing obsolete files, data, running utilities to rid of unused/unwanted software that are running in the background slowing system down including viruses, spyware etc,. It occurs at times where it may even render the system inoperable just simply due to the volatile nature of software. In this case it caused a glitch with customer’s magic jack which we were not aware of while we were on site but were told after we left. We did attempt to correct issue assisting over the phone and even remotely “ as customer acknowledged” Customer was not willing to contract additional service to resolve this issue as we had fulfilled time covered by coupon and we find regretful that even though problem did not reoccur and machine has worked better and fine since serviced “as customer acknowledged” we were graded “c” on quality of work and “d” on professionalism . I think we deserved to be graded better…"
