Boca Appliance Service

The repair person was professional, but somewhat condescending. I wish he were a little down to earth and more willing to listen instead of talking over me non stop. After initially diagnosing the fault in the dishwasher as being a clogged or bad water pump. He cleaned the pump, and after running the dishwasher briefly he concluded that is all the dishwasher needed. I was relieved that I did not need to shell out $450 for a new pump. I gave him a check for $150 and before he left, he started the dishwasher and instructed me to let it complete the full cycle. 1 minutes after he walked out door, the machine stopped. I went out to look for him, and luckily he was still in the driveway. After letting him know that the machine had stopped, he came back and did some more work but to no avail. The machine would stop immediately no matter what he did. He then claimed that it must be the electronic board that needs replacing. He promised that he would call me back to let me know about the cost to replace the board is and let left. Well, it's been a week now, and I still have not heard from him. I feel that after he got his $150, he no longer needed to follow up. Even though he and the person that was with him promised that they would send me an email receipt, I still haven't received one yet. DISAPPOINTED!!!

The owner was able to get out there the day after I called and gave me an estimate ($29.99 only if not using them for repair, but applied toward repair when using them.)  They told me a coil was not working and need to be changed. They can order parts and be back fixing it the next day. The following day they came back on time and changed it at the price quoted. Happy with the service provided.

He comes quick and isn't too expensive. If I ever have a problem, he rectifies it quickly. I think he's reasonable.

They were alright. They were okay its just that they were a little over priced.  They were fine and I think they were little bit high priced. I didn't have anything to compare it to.  I got a local person.  I thought they were little higher priced than what I thought it would be.  I don't have anything to compare it to. I didn't get any estimates as I wanted to get it fixed quickly and they said they would come over. They were here on time and he was a very professional guy. I would use them again even though he is pricey because I know they meet all the other factors and when they are here they do the job. It is fixed.  Once they fixed something and there was something else that had gone wrong. He came right back and fixed it correctly. He said he thought that might happen and I don't hold that against him. I think that is good.

I explained that I was the landlord and I would be paying for the repair so I needed to be informed of what was wrong and how much it would be before anything was done. The women said "of course". The person never called my tenant to tell her when they were coming. The service person came out to take a look and was supposed to call me, the owner, and tell me what was wrong and approximately how much it would be, as I was paying for it. I never heard anything back from the company, but heard from my tenant that the fuse needed to be replaced. The next I called the company and asked what happened and he said they ordered the fuse. I said I never received a call and was never consulted on whether I wanted the oven repaired. I tried to explain why I, the owner, should have been consulted before the piece was ordered, but man didn't seem to understand, or care and said "It's only $240 it's better then buying a new oven isn't it?" The communication from START to FINISH was lacking to say the least! They were presumptuous and slightly belittling. I used this company because they have been in Boca for many, many years. I will NEVER use them again. They are also listed on Angie's List under several names: Boca Appliance Svc, Affordable Appliance and MARRS appliance. I will post this on all three names.
