If you want your outdoor kitchen remodel to take up to a whole season for it to be completed then call Doug. Between empty promises and no shows it was a bad experience. Currently we have to have someone come reinstall the outdoor refrigerator that was installed incorrectly and re-cut the granite for the trash insert. We are lucky at the end just loosing a couple of thousand dollars and terrible install. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BOTCHED SERVICES! The owner Doug Dowie was hired to build my backyard kitchen and grill. I was left with counter gaps, wrong appliances installed and parts were missing. It was built incorrectly and failed to repair his work. Made numerous excuses over one year. Blamed outsourced contractors and vendors. I was working with a project manager, and once he realized the job was botched, he came to my front door asking for the remaining payment during the Christmas holidays to circumvent my project manager.

I could not be happier. I have done a lot of construction in my life and this has been the nicest yet.  Doug follows through and is caring.  He is not worried about the last hour but wants to get the job done right.  I believe anyone who uses him will be satisfied.  He was very good at communicating.  If you want to add something, make sure you tell him.

Working with Doug Dowie of Custom Outdoor Kitchens BBQ's & Grills will restore your confidence in south Florida contractors.  Doug is a pleasure to work with, honest, punctual and very thorough.  Our outdoor, built in bbq needed to be replaced.  Doug set an initial appointment to inspect the grill within two days of our call.  He showed up on time and was very knowledgeable.  He followed up by email as promised with a complete written quote for the work.  He recommended a very good quality replacement grill and his price was reasonable.  He returned to our house to sign the contract and accept the deposit.  He immediately ordered the grill and set an appointment within one week to install it.  Again, he showed up on time, completed the installation professionally, demonstrated all the grill's features and left a clean work site.  A pleasure to work with start to finish.  I would call him again without hesitation.

This was a job I probably could have done myself, but I wasn't sure exactly what the problem was and I didn't have the tools to loosen the nut that secured the regulator to the rest of the hose. Based on reviews on Angie's List, I called Doug and he was able to come out and fix the problem easily and quickly. He wasn't able to make the first appointment we set because he got into a job that took more time than he had predicted, but he communicated with me and set up a new appointment.

I emailed Doug to see if they did repair work on existing outdoor grills. He said yes and we set up a mutually convenient time. He actually came out early on a Sunday morning to meet MY calendar! He determined that the grates and the lava rocks needed replacing, the self ignitor needed repair and the grill needed a good cleaning. He also advised that my grill was no longer being manufactured but that he could get a grate re-engineered to fit my grill. He did, called me to quote the price, which was reasonable, and he then ordered the parts. Within 3 days he had the parts and he came out today to do the repair. He did not take any payment or even a deposit until the work was completed. I have not tested it yet but based upon his professionalism, ehtics, and knowledge I am confidant that not only will it work fine, but should there be any issues he will immediately take corrective action. I am very pleased with their service and would recommend them. BTW, I had called two other companies--one of them took 3 days to call me back and the 3rd I still have not not heard from!

He was also very helpful, and advised me of places for propane.
