Owner was very short with me and told me I would get the same guy and didn't have a choice
Visit 1: I found a young gentlemen using my painters tape I needed for my painter to tape off areas that he didnt want to over-spray. So all was fine glad they were considerate in that respect. Final product here was 48 hours later paint stated to bubble up all over the tub. They over sprayed my mirror, bathroom door handle, towel bar, bath mat, entire vanity/sink, and facet. However the taped off tub facet and drain were fine, but he failed to cover the rest of the bathroom with put a nice doted think spray over everything.
Visit 2: They fixed the problem, but again did not tape off the door handle, mirror, vanity/sink, floor tile, etc... Over sprayed every where again. Final product: 48 hours later this particular painter left spikes so when you sit on your bum its like sitting on nails in the tub... Almost like he popped the bubbles and just painted right over them causing cracks/spikes in the paint.
Visit 3: I called again, they were quick to fix the problem. However again, oversprayed the entire bathroom, mind you I've given up on trying to clean it each time because the paint they use is a glue, not a paint, its permanent and impossible to remove unless using a razor on a flat surface such as the mirror. Final Product: 48 hours later. Now I had a nice smear from a hand or something as if someone fell in the tub and pretended like nothing happened.
Visit 4: I called again, 24 hours later they arrived promptly, this time finally they sanded it completely and did the job right. However again over-sprayed over everything. (except of course the shower and tub facets/handles.) The painter also pushed my buttons by leaving my AC running on constantly with the lowest setting, not sure what he tried to do there, but fortunately I visited the property a day later to check on the place.
So over all I'm impressed with their repeat visits and willingness to make it right, however I still burned a ton of time having to check it and manage this each time. More aggravating is having to replace my door handle, facet, and down the road probably the vanity because the nice pearl shine it had now has a white fine haze of dots... The tile floor took hours to scrub with paint thinner.
Very good quality. I would say that it was excellent but the holes from the original glass shower could have been filled in and smoothed better.
Owner came back at no charge to me and fixed an area that had been marked up by my contractors.
I would definitely use them again and recommend them.
Depending on the technician, you can get a good job, but the material has its limits. I also think the minimum price for a cosmetic scratch or chip is a tad on the high side for minor repairs, but if you need a lot of work, the price may be OK. (Price went up to $185 from $165 last year.)
Unfortunately, in my experience, this type of finish doesn't hold up that well, so despite the skill of the applicators, when at all possible, I'm switching to powder coating. If I cannot have an item powder coated I would definitely call Artistic Refinishing for an estimate.
Be sure to insist the worker uses an exhaust fan because the fumes are fierce.
His two workers showed up on Thurs. & worked from 9-7:30. Did a great job & were very professional.
Returned next day to finish. They made my old kitchen look new. Spray painted cabinets (inside & out)...Glazed counter tops to look new & shiny. I chose Desert Stone as a look I wanted for the counters.
Left me a clean house with no debris. Were very good at what they do.
