I did a chat on ADT on September 5th to replace a door sensor that I took off about a year ago. I talked to Christine. She told me it would cost $100.00 to get a door sensor. After about a 20-minute conversation, she convinced me to get your BOGO special. I agreed to that and informed her that she could add a motion sensor to the door sensor. When I got the email confirmation, I immediately contacted ADT via chat and was connected to Christine. I explained that the wrong order was submitted. She told me that she would cancel the old order and put in the correct order. I asked her about the charge for the old order. She told me that a refund would appear on my credit card. I got the correct order in my email. On aSeptember 6th, I noticed that both the wrong order and correct order appeared on my FedEx account as Label created WAITING to be picked up. I called the 800 number, and it connected me to ADT. I explained what had happened. He said that FedEx already had the package, so it couldn't be canceled. He informed me that both packages had a FedEx return label in each box. Both boxes came in today. Neither one had a FedEx return label. From the 5th until now, your customer service has been giving me the runaround on this issue. Because of the lack of customer service, I want to send BOTH PACKAGES BACK. I've been a loyal customer of ADT for 17 years. That has to count for something. In a reputable business, it does. With ADT, not so much. Should I decide to cancel, I may also send the CEO as well as the rest of the board of ADT the reason why I canceled and signed with their competitor. As I stated, I've been a customer for 17 years. A PAYING CUSTOMER. On 10/17/2024 my ADT account had a balance of $0.00. Today, 10/18/2024 it showed a balance of $-133.14. ADT UNLAWFULLY CHARGED my credit card. They did not have my permission to charge my credit card in OCTOBER. Doing so is a crime. When I called them they said that they would send a check. I told them that sending a check is unacceptable. They charged my credit card in one day, they can return the funds in one day, not seven to ten days. That charge incurred interest. This is yet another reason I left ADT after 17 years as a loyal customer
