In less than a month our dog has become compliant to our wishes, while retaining her spirit and bounce. We are very happy with the results.

*Kate is great* Kate cares about our dog and us as people. Because we know she cares so much, we can trust her instructions during lessons and practicing on our own, and we trust her fully when we leave our dog with her. She is easy to reach whether it is in between lessons via text or while she boards our dog. She has made us confident as pet owners, and has helped our dog transition into a more confident member of the household. We found a great match in Kate.

Very well. Kate is quite knowledgeable and easy to work with and schedule. She even threw in an extra free lesson as a courtesy to help our older dog better acclimate to our new puppy. She was great and we are very grateful.

I hired Kate to train our new dog Bella. Bella is almost a year old and we wanted to train her to be a well behaved dog. She helped us house break her as well as stop some unwanted behavior. Kate was a professional who had the respect of the dog right away. She showed our family how to be gentle but firm in our approach to disciplining her. Over the course of 5 lessons we saw great improvement. She always gave us things to work on in between lessons to help get the desired results. Kate also boards Bella when we go away for a long weekends. She is always in constant communication with us as to how she is doing. Kate also drops off and picks up Bella which is much appreciated. I would certainly recommend Kate for dog training as well as boarding.

Kate was AWESOME! We had received helpful yet conflicting advice from two prior trainers and it was clear our 4 month old Boston Terrier needed someone who could institute a 24/7 pattern of training to break her of her puppy mill habits of going on pads in her crate. Almost at our wits end, Kate responded to our call quickly, picked the puppy up at our house after looking at our environment, asked for the target schedule we wanted to be abel to have the dog on,and then for a reasonable daily price, trained our puppy at her space for five to six consecutive days. We got back a puppy who definitley had broken with her old associations and was well on her way to forming new ones, including going only outside and on a leash. During the training process, Kate gave us almost daily updates by text and was clearly invested in the results. We highly recommend Kate.

Kate is a BRILLIANT, DEDICATED and EFFECTIVE trainer. We have a 7 year old Border Collie Lab mix, Bob, who has a ton of energy and tends to be territorial and aggressive (towards dogs, kids, people, etc). We have 2 other dogs in the house and are starting a family so we knew we needed to resolve Bob's issues before bringing kids into the house. I had anxiety walking Bob, taking him to the dog park, having people visit the house, etc. It was a real nightmare of a situation. I did my research (including working with other trainers) before hiring Kate. We spoke on the phone and decided on a time to meet at my house for a complementary visit. She arrived promptly and listened to our concerns and what we wanted to achieve with the training. Kate made us feel comfortable and confident in her abilities. She also made us feel confident in OUR ability to properly carry through with the training. This was refreshing because other trainers we met with talked down to us and made us feel like idiots for the way we had been handling Bob. I love her positive approach towards the dogs and their owners. She knows it's a team effort and that everyone has to have confidence in order to make this work. She spent over an hour at our home and even started training Bob during the initial visit. We called her the next day and set up 6 lessons. The first 4 lessons were at our house primarily concentrating on walking/heeling, the and quot;placeand quot; command, constructive playtime (frisbee, fetch, etc) and front door etiquette (no more barking and lunging at people at the front door). All of her tips and techniques worked really well. The last 2 lessons were are the park (at our request). We had successfully mastered the walk so we wanted to start socializing Bob and getting him familar with different setttings. It was great for him and for the first time we really enjoyed being in a public space with Bob. It was really a good feeling. During the 6 week period Kate texted me at least 2 or 3 times during the week asking how Bob was doing or emailing me other techniques we could use. She was completely accessible to us at all times. There was a weekend that Bob got into a couple of scuffles with our older dog and this had never happened before. I texted Kate on a Sunday and she offered to come to the house immediately to help us figure out what was going on. Now that's someone who loves what they do and their clients!! This was just one of the many instances that Kate had impressed us with her high level of dedication. After the 6 lessons we were 100% satisfied with Bob's progress. We were so pleased that we decided to ask Kate to stay on for another 6 lessons to further Bob's training and focus on his socialization. To be honest, the 6 additional lessons were just as much for me as they were for Bob. With each lesson I'm gaining more and more self-confidence with Bob and my ability as a dog owner. Take my advice and call Kate if you are looking for a trainer. It will be a positive experience for everyone. :)

My wife and I had a terrific experience working with Kate to train our one year old labrador. We learned more than expected and obtained excellent results during the seven weeks of training. Kate was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. After just a few sessions, we were able to have enjoyable walks with Edison, a major goal we accomplished in a short period of time. Since we began working with Kate we learned numerous things that now allow us to spend more enjoyable time with our dog who has become more patient and attentive to our commands.Kate truly enjoys her job and working with dogs and their owners. When one thing didn't work she was quick to recommend things that did. She was patient and energetic at the same time. We would recommend her to anybody who really wants to enjoy learning how to train their dogs. We looked forward to Kate visits every week. She should have her own TV show!

My brother called this service to get a dog trainer. She basically tried to and quot;pre-qaulifyand quot; him on the phone and made it clear she wasn't really thrilled about coming out so far west (we live out by Country Walk). We wanted to train our dogs to be better about not going in the house and not barking at random stuff and being better behaved (when possible). She has this huge checklist that just wasn't possible - we went through the checklist and I know that I was getting ADD and I am sure that the dogs had to have been as well. At one point my brother just left the room. It was expensive and I not really worth it - we never called for a follow up because we just weren't a personality match either.

Kate was VERY dependable. We always worked out out our next visit and she was always on time. She is a very knowledgeable and compassionate trainer. She helped us with our needs and asked us what we need work on before we started our new lesson. She is available 24/7 for questions. We will be using her for "spot visits" as needed. We are grateful she made it to Angie's List! We highly recommend her!

Kate always arrived on time and was very good with my puppy. She taught him that basic commands and that were helpful for an 8 week old puppy. She was very helpful and always on time.

Trainer was extremely knowledgable about dogs and training. She was able to answer all of my questions and give me a ton of useful information. She not only did a wonderful job with my dog but also gave me detailed instructions on how to train my dog without her.
