I had a terrible experience with multiple contractors here in the Keys before finding Sky Limit and Ales Bursa. The last contractor who started the job, removed and replaced 11 of the columns. They did not follow the PE drawings, my instructions nor code and resulted in my existing downstairs enclosure being condemned by the county. I fired them and found Sky Limit. I had drawings modified and Ales took the job over from a thankless starting point. He was there everyday with his crew and conducted a most thorough daily review with his crew on the day's work scope. He took over all of the permitting issues and worked very well with the Monroe County officials. His crew was polite, professional and punctual. They arrived at the same time each day and worked nonstop with only lunch breaks. They worked very well together as can only be achieved by workers used to being on the same team. Ales uses only his workers and work was not sub-contracted as my previous contractor did. They kept a spotless, safe worksite, closing each day out with a roll back. Ales Bursa and his entire team had one goal, quality. They used efficiency and safety to achieve the overall quality. They had the right tool for each job and if a change came about, they adapted with a new tool or process efficiently. I have worked with general contractors many times over the years in multiple states. This company is by far the best General Contractor I have ever seen. Not only did his quality surpass the previous contractor's work, but he corrected their deficiencies. They had a proper contract drawn up, itemizing my work list. Ales required the down payment upon signing of the contract. He did not ask for more draws, even with scope changes. He tracked all extra costs and presented me with the final bill after all inspections were passed. Basically, he had 1/3 up front with 2/3 upon completion. Whereas the plan was 50/50, the scope and discovery caused more to be due at the end. His concern was my wife's and my satisfaction. We never had to wonder when he would be back or what was happening next. It was all laid out and updated to us regularly. There were no questionable fees or charges for discovery work.
