We called David and to our delight he did repairs to wood furniture. He came to the house with a couple of catalogs so we could find a good hinge that would work and look well After finding, ordering and receiving hinges in the mail I was still a little unsure that the hinges would fit. I called David with my concerns and he came over a couple of hours later and set my mind at ease. At that time we set up the appointment for the following Monday. He was here promptly at 8:30 a.m. He put down an 8 X 8 rubber floor pad and a nice thick moving blanket over the rubber so as not to damage my new wood floor or the wood doors themselves. He removed the doors and the hinges from the 3 units. I don't know much about this type of thing but he had to refit all the new hinges, because of course after almost 40 years, they don't make hinges the same as they use to. He stuck to it for approx. 4 hours took a 20 min break and then went at it another 4 hours. It was a long job. When he finished he cleaned up all the wood chips and shavings. He went the extra mile. The doors are better now than when we first bought the set. They open easy and they are very solid. I do not have to worry about the door falling off when I pull to open it. He did an excellent job on this task and would definitely have him back for any other job he can do. I would recommend him very highly to anyone.
Description of Work: We have an old bedroom set from the early 70's which was in excellent condition considering the age. If we were to replace it, in order to get the same quality, it would have cost an arm and a leg. We chose to repair it. The set needed all new hinges, 12 total. We had been looking for someone to repair it for years. No one wanted to take on the project.
