Paul Davis Restoration

My experience with Paul Davis was great. Construction is always difficult to endure especially unexpected damage. The team did a great job putting our home back together. There were challenges along the way but they worked with us and helped us through them. Their experience in working with our insurance company was paramount. Our home was restored fully, and the work was completed timely.

I don't know where to start but I hope this review will stop somebody from having to be homeless. This is a franchise of a national company. Please be careful. This particular owner has contracted the worst tradesmen to complete the smoke damage to my home that I have ever seen! It has been 17 months and he quit because I hurt his feelings when I was told in October that my house was FINALLY finished only to find mismatched cabinets, flooring that looks nothing like we ordered (you can see the difference between the sample and the floor plank shown in the last 2 pics), screws coming out from underneath window sills, gaps around almost every light switch and light, and to top it all off bathroom counter tops that are oozing with caulk to make them fit and a bathroom mirror that is crooked and doesn't meet the counter. I can go on an on (49 picture worth of major mistakes) His response when we asked him did he feel like he should fix this mess. "You signed the contract and we don't warranty out work" CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Our nightmare began in June of 2017 when on the advise of our insurance company Paul Davis Restorations was hired to take care of mold due to a water leak. Our home looked like it had been vandalized after they came in and ripped out cabinets, walls and flooring. Weeks went by without anyone coming back to repair the damage they caused. After six months of broken promises, shoddy repairs and not being able to return to our home, we fired this company. We have had to hire competent professionals to redo plumbing and other minimal work done by this company. We ended up stuck with cabinets they ordered for the kitchen, which were not the correct configuration, not what we requested and of poor quality. Beware of this company, we failed to read the fine print on the contract once they order materials even if you fire them for incompetence, you are stuck with the cost. The final bill submitted to the insurance company was inflated and included charges for work not done to include permits never pulled. Turn the contract over and look at the disclaimer on the back, it tells you all you want to know about their character.

The guy that came was a good guy, he was very knowledgeable in all aspects; construction and material.  They finished the project in accordance to code. The work crew did not show up on time and there was a log on service being done.
