Meeks Plumbing & Septic

My kitchen sink drain was plugged up. Meeks came out and snaked it 3 times to no avail. The plumber was here for 4 hours. They were charging $295 to snake it and $168 for an additional hour. My sink was still clogged, I refused to pay the additional work hour. Then they said they could have a guy come out and use a Jetter to force the grease out but that cost would be $400. I turned that down and proceeded looking for another company that could help me. Texted Brandon Driggers at his request but he never got back to me. I then contacted Professional Drain Services and spoke to Joshua. He contacted Meeks Plumbing to find out about my sink. He called me back and told me he would clean it for $700. I then had a friend refer me to Dove Plumbing who came out that night and used a pressure washer and cleaned me out in an hour and a half for $236. I wish I would have heard about them first!

They are excellent and my water has never been so good. They were nice and even the father who started the business came by. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent! Josh was courteous, informative, and got right to the problem. He even had to get up on the roof to snake the entire drainage system. Gave us information on how to prevent clogged drains. The price was a great surprise as well! Thank you once again Meeks!

The pump stopped working Saturday evening. I called Meeks's emergency call number, and received a return call from Chad within 30 minutes. He gave me the estimated cost for the service call, which was accurate, and arrived within 45 minutes. He replaced a bad pressure switch.

I asked if they did septic work and was told no, even though “septic” is in their name.

Call center was NOT knowledgeable about services available. Hours posted on Angie's list are inaccurate. Non-Responsive. In a search for "Septic" on Angie's List, their name appeared and indicated that they were open until noon on Sundays. I called at 11:30 am on a Sunday and got their call center. I described the issue and said that since the back-up was between the overflow and the drain field, I expected that the septic system would need to be pumped. She took the information and advised that she wasn't sure if I would get a return call on Sunday... or on Monday. I waited until 11 AM on Monday, and when I hadn't received a call, I called them directly, only to be advised that they do not offer septic pumping services. The representative who answered on Monday was knowledgeable, helpful and even provided recommendations. It's a shame their call center was not as reliable - as I wasted a full day for no reason.

ok, except for pricing. Quoted over phone it would be around $500. The job took a little less then 4 hours. I was charged $640 for labor. My math said that's $160 per hour. Another $100 for parts. I was told it's $120 per Bath faucet(1/2 hour to install). I had to call the office 3 times before anyone called me back to explain the bill. I ended up talking to 2 different people both giving me answers I was not happy. The guy that came recommended me not put in faucet in utility room as it was to flimsy. The walls on my sink is 1" thick and another had no problem doing it and it's very sturdy. That also was in the quote that they didn't do. It may be that they are taking advantage of people that are retired. Quality of work was ok. Only use if you have money to burn. Don DePew

Prompt, efficient service by Meeks Plumbing staff from first call to set appointment through to completion of service call by Ron Brooks for repair of leaking pipe. Ron Brooks called when on way here and even arrived ahead of schedule, was courteous, pleasant, knowledgeable as he quickly located and repaired the leaking pipe. We also discussed replumb ideal to remove my home's original defective pipes. I will call on Meeks Plumbing again.

On a Sunday morning when we used our guest bathroom the toilet became clogged. So clogged that waste started coming up in the bathtub and in our master shower. No amount of plunging or drain chemicals could break it up. We made due until Monday (didn't want to pay Sunday rates) and them called a couple of plumbers we found here on Angie's List. The first plumber couldn't come out for 3-4 days, which was not acceptable. The second plumber (not on Angie's List) could probably get to us by the end of the day. So then we called Meeks (around 9:30 am). We were promised a technician would be on site between 12-1. When I described the problem the phone estimate for service was $145. So we went with Meeks.
At 10:45 the tech was knocking on our door, by 11:15 he had diagnosed the problem and by 11:45 he was packing up and getting paid. The final cost matched the phone estimate exactly.
Ok, so was did I rate Quality only "Good"? Well this might not be fair, but when the tech left we found the edges of a few shingles damaged with ladder sized gouges. I was busy doing other things, so I did not actually see the ladder against the house in these exact spots (although I know he was on the roof), My husband, however (who was not home at the time of service) is positive the shingles were not damaged prior to this service. My husband being the perfectionist he is is now arranging to have them repaired.

Weekend call. Prompt service. Very professional.

Great Job,  My toilet would not stop running. I called Meeks and had response within 20 minutes. Toilet was repaired and is now working perfectly. Easy!

We have used Thomas Meeks' services for all of our well and pump needs at the two homes that we own in Crystal River.  He has always performed excellent service and we will continue to use him and recommend his services to our friends.

He responded the day that I called.  He came, did the job quickly and efficiently and left.

Plumber Ron called before arrival, was very professional  in repair! Clean up and replaced all that removed to handle Job! Install of ice maker water line was done correctly in my opinion and no shgort cuts! Got what WE paid for, GOOD SERVICE!
