Brad's Flooring

I spent 25 years in the flooring business and consider myself an expert, but am too old to lay floors! Brad was highly recommended to me and after interviewing him extensively I was sure he was a competent professional. I trusted him enough to do the work while I was out of town. I am pleased to say, that as a fussy guy, I couldn't have done any better than he did. Lastly, he was very honest, gave a reasonable price, and his employees were customer oriented. Couldn’t be happier with our whole house floor replacement!

Unfortunately, this did not go well. After agreeing on them to install my new LPVF, I asked if he could tile two bathrooms, that were prepped, and the original tile guy could not finish. Brad asked me what the other man was charging. He agreed to match his price, to install the tile, and finish the two bathrooms. I had already purchased enough tile for the bathtub bathroom, to tile the entire bathroom. The shower bathroom, I was still deciding the tile. Brad and I agreed that he would match the other mans price. He told me to pay half upfront. Then He then told me to return half of the tile, as he would only tile around the bathtub. Note, this bathroom had been gutted, and I paid for a new Kohler tub, which was installed prior to hiring Brad.. Brad did not protect this acrylic bathtub. It is all scratched due to his negligence. I also asked him to tile first, before installing the LPVF. I did not want to damage the new LPVF. Instead he installed the LPVF against my instructions . He did NOT protect it. He then laid out the glass tile onto the new flooring, with no protection. My newly installed bathtub was not protected, and is all scratched. They did not tell me they would be cutting tile inside my garage. My vintage car was inside with the hood open on a trickle charger. The inside of my engine is coated with construction dust, as was the outside of the car. . They put their cutting machinery next to the rear of my car, and I have dings. They had no respect for my personal property. They Did not show, to finish the tile work. Instead, I was given a new surprise bill, for additional materials, and additional labor costs for $1500. I paid this bill, under duress, as I wanted them to finish the bathrooms. I did tell him this was not right, as we agreed on a price, and the shower pan was included in the as stated on the first invoice. He has not caulked the bathtub, as he did not finish that, which he should of, so he gets to come back to finish that, and install another tile, and then caulk and finish the shower. No excuse he did not finish first bathroom. He did not install the grab bar. I believe he decided after doing the tile work on the first bathroom, the degree of difficulty, he thought he was entitled to more money, and instead of discussing it, gave me that surprise bill. No one wants to go through what I did. Him not tiling when he said he would, through off the other people coming in after him, I had unnecessary stress due to his behavior. The house , my car left a mess inside. he is supposed to come back to finish the bathrooms...if you value your sanity, skip this guy, or get in writing a completion date, and documentation that there will be no additional charges, and all material costs must be accompanied by a receipt from where the materials were purchased from. Oh, and he added on top of that $1500 surprise bill, now an additional $1200 onto the final bill. SURPRISE, no discussion.

Hire them. Great guys, great work.

Brad was excellent to deal with. The floor tile and grout repair were expertly done. Everything was done in a timely, professional and cost effective manner. The best part of dealing with Brad and his crew was communication I was always contacted on when he would be at the site and he was always on time and finished when he said. I haver never dealt with a contractor this professional. Kind of refreshing and I would recommend him over and over.

Brad was a true professional, he explained everything he was going to do and answered all my questions. He gave us a quote that we accepted and told us when he would return and came back to do the job exactly when he said. When he finished we couldn't tell where he repaired the floor, that's how good he did the repair. I would recommend Brad to anyone.
