We hired Lou after we were unable to hire any subcontractors on our own and are glad we did. Lou gave us a bid up front, scheduled all the subcontractors, made sure our home was cleaned up every day as we were living in it during the remodel, met every contractor and supervised their work, resolved any scheduling problems that came up and made this remodeling job very smooth for us. It could be very inconvenient to have both your bathrooms remodeled at once, but Lou and Jesse kept their eye on things, made sure the subcontractors finished on a timely basis and cut costs for us when they could. We couldn't have asked for a better result. We love both bathrooms as well the as outdoor kitchen area they tiled and installed a new countertop in. Everything looks great! Thanks Lou!!

Lou and his team of subcontractors did a fabulous job on my bathroom renovation! They removed a garden tub, toilet, wall tile and floor tile and installed a beautiful new tiled shower, toilet and tile flooring! It turned out beautiful and what I wanted. Everyone was professional and friendly. I highly recommend him!

We hired Lou (Fernald Homes) after receiving 4 other estimates for our complete kitchen/breakfast nook remodel. We also had carpeting throughout the house replaced with luxury vinyl flooring and had the dining room and living room painted. The cost was competitive and what we expected. We are very happy we chose this family-owned business. Lou and his son Jess are very friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. Lou arranged and scheduled all the contractors (electrician, plumbing, construction, painters, flooring install) and was present and overseeing everything each day someone was here. He has worked with his contractors for years and they all did excellent work! The total remodel was done in a timely manner and Lou kept us informed every step of the way. He was great with returning our calls. He also had some great suggestions for the kitchen layout. Lou also made sure we were happy with everything. We had a few issues that came up along the way which were corrected immediately to our satisfaction. Even though it can be stressful doing a remodel it was a pleasant experience and we really enjoyed working with Lou, his son, and his contractors. We are planning to do a bathroom remodel in the future and we definitely will hire Lou again! If you are planning a remodel I would highly recommend Lou/Fernald Homes! You will not be disappointed!

I found myself in a "well we might as well do it" situation. After a major plumbing issue and subsequent re-pipe of the entire house, we decided to just remodel the whole Kitchen and a Bath room. In addition we also re-floored the entire house and had the entire house painted inside and out. Lots of work but Lou and his subs were excellent! Being that we stayed in the house throughout, Lou was very sensitive to our needs as well as getting his crews in and out. Lou's just a great guy to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, his company and all the subs he works with for any of your remodel / building needs!!

I hired Fernald Homes to remodel my bathroom. I was extremely happy not only with their workmanship but with their work ethic. Lou kept me updated throughout the process, he was at the house a part of every day, and let me know who would be coming to the house and when. Workers always showed up on time and were very professional and pleasant to work with.

I hired Fernald Homes LLC to remodel a kitchen. They did a wonderful job within budget and within the time frame we agreed to. Lou was very helpful in getting the various things done for the kitchen such as the electrician and the plumber. I would use them again in the future.

Keep in mind as a consumer that time lines change and you should build a buffer in the time you think completion of the project. Fernald Homes did a fantastic job staying on schedule but sub-contractors are out of their control deliveries and back orders of things you selected can change dates of completion. Fernald Homes were professionals from start to finish and helped us with there knowledge of products & years of experience. I took a risk allowing someone i did not know in my home for 3 weeks unsupervised to complete the project. Fernald Homes made sure my home was secure and treated it with respect. There is a lot of companies out there that say they can do this and they can do that and how professional they are and after the work your not happy and you never see them again and now you have a bad taste in your mouth. When they say they will be on the job they will be on the job, when your thinking of starting your next project, give this company a call.
