Based on good reviews in Angie's list, I called Cecil Grainger for a second opinion last year, after another provider told me that our septic drain field was failing and that we would need some new type of pressure blasting, or a new drain field. Mr. Grainger told me that the pressure blasting was a waste of money, and that the provider's pricing for a new drain field was way too high.
We were very pleased that Mr. Grainger was so candid and helpful, and we hadn't even hired him yet. A year went by before we needed any service again, and we then hired Grainger's Septic Service to pump the system that once again seemed to be getting clogged.
As it turned out, the drain field was not failing. Tree roots were clogging the system, blocking an outflow pipe. Not only did Mr. Grainger pump the system, but he cleared the roots blocking the pipe. He then showed us how to keep the roots from growing back across the pipe, telling us which root treatment to buy and how to use it.
A few days later, when I opened the septic tank cover to apply the root treatment, I was amazed. I have never seen the system so clean. For the first time, I was even able to see the pipe Mr. Grainger was referring to.
Mr. Grainger was also very punctual and very professional. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was very cordial throughout, and left the area so spotless that you wouldn't know he was even there.
We are totally pleased with the service we received from Grainger's Septic Service, and they will be our providers from now on.

Provider arrived on time and performed service to the best of my knowledge

The provider was prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient.   We weren?t sure where the tank access was but he found it quickly and provided us with all the information we needed.

They were awesome. I chose it because a friend of mine used them. He is a local owner and it is a local company. What stood out were the personality and his whole attitude because, basically it is a shitty job. His personality won me over. He was pretty much comparable in pricing as everyone else that I had called during that time, but I guess because he was the owner, he took pride in his company. It is much different when you have a franchise. He charged the right way.

He is reliable when you call. The pricing is a little on the steep side, but he is much better than others that we have used. He seems pretty honest.

Mr. Grainger came through for us when we had a septic tank related
problem two days before Thanksgiving when we were having guests over. He was
prompt, courteous and gave us maintenance tips. Although Mr. Grainger
charged a higher price than a competitor (that we had originally
contracted for the work, but left us hanging), it was well worth it in
the end. We would hire Mr. Grainger again.

Cecil is good at what he does. He's very knowledgeable about plumbing, and new construction. He went above what he was paid to do, by helping me with a clog, near my septic tank. I was obliged to give him a $40 tip. I found him on Angie's List. I was worried that I would not find that service in my area. Hope all my AL referrals are as good as this one.

Cecil was great!! He explained everything to us, and answered all of our questions. He arrived on time, and left everything looking good. I would definately use his company again, and would highly recommend his services to others. Thanks again Cecil!!

I dealt directly with the owner who performed the service. He arrived a half hour early, and was very professional from start to finish. He had never been to my house before, but after a little probing, he knew right were to dig for the opening to my septic tank. That is the mark of a an experienced professional. He did a thorough job cleaning out the tank and the filter and explained the do's and don't to keep the septic system working properly. He was very reasonable priced and was at my home two days after I called for service. I definitely will use him again and recommend him to anybody.

Left message for Cecil while he was on vacation, he returned the call the day he returned from vacation. He provided a very reasonable estimate for the work and promised to be at my home at 1PM the following day. He arrived 5 minutes early, seemed very knowledgeable and proceeded to map out my system. He went above and beyond by verifying the status of the system and cleaning the filter. I will certainly call him back when I need additional service..
