Pillars he was supposed to use cedar - he used plywood and low quality didn't sand it so looks textured and not like the other 2 he didnt replace, when i asked him about it he claimed my husband told him to buy plywood, which was a blatant lie. in trying to get some semblance of peace in my home we tried to live with it but1 pillar is 2 inches smaller than the other 3 pillars - additionally he didnt use galvinized nails or primer (we live at beach) and the rust is already coming thru the white paint. The brand new door he installed you can see daylight around 3 sides of it when the deadbolt is extended. The new wood he installed on back porch is 3/4 of an inch short and he filled it with caulki - looks terrible. The new wood was also pressure treated - he did not use any primer and already the chemicals from pressure treating are bleeding thru lovely green/yellow color. He installed screened in frames - they are loose, screen is loose in places...actually ripples. on the exterior trim he decided to use a large nap roller - which left a cement looking like texture....he sanded some of it in response to my complaints and repainted it but still there are places that look awful. There are paint runs/drips on the front door. He will not return phone calls, emails or texts - he got his money and dissapeared.
What ever you do don't hire this guy he has no idea what he is doing, we are taking him to court to reimburse us for the cost of fixing all of his mistakes....use a real professional this guy isn't one
