The technician, "Rich," showed up promptly. After listening to my description of the problem he knew exactly what was wrong. As he was performing the work he explained what he was doing and showed me how to do certain things myself. He was incredibly patient in helping me understand my unit. I must've asked him 30-40 questions during the repair. He didn't just answer them, he showed me where things were and what I should look for. He was awesome. We've used ACR several times and this company is a little more expensive than some, but I believe they've saved us money in the long run.

We got 8 or 9 bids but we felt comfortable using them.

They bought them and sold them to use for their cost, they could have made money on them, and they didn’t. We dealt with Dan and there was time that my husband would call and would call back on the weekend overnight just to answer our question.

They were just honest and reliable. They’ve been calling me here just to remind me about the air conditioning fees and service. And very polite about having for scheduling.

They did everything without charging us because it was still under warranty. They've been pretty good!

We interviewed 4 companies before choosing ACR. It came down to 2 companies offering similar prices. We chose ACR because of our interaction with Mike Torres and a previous job they competitively bid for us. While we were considering our options, the manufacturer discontinued the model we were quoted and merged it into a higher-end model. Even though we were just beyond the 30 day mark of the quote, ACR( Mike) honored their quote and simply installed the higher-level model without batting an eye. Another company that we had used previously said their quote was no longer good and wanted to increase the price by $1,000 and did not include all the work ACR performed.
The work performed by ACR included removal of the old handler from the attic. Installation of the new handler in the attic. They cleaned up and replaced old wiring and drain pipes in attic. They upgraded and made adjustments to the existing return and duct system. They added 2 new returns in 2 bedrooms and added 2 new supplies in a bathroom addition and a laundry closet addition done in the 50's.
Throughout the process, all the employees we interacted with including the sales rep, installation technicians, project manager, repair technicians, and office employees were courteous, patient and helpful. There were a few bumps during the installation, but everything was taken care of immediately and all of our concerns addressed. We are happy with ACR and our new system, which accomplished our 2 primary goals: efficiency and quietness. Because the house is having a lot of updates, there have been many contractors around and several have been amazed at the quietness of the new unit. We will continue to consider ACR for future A/C needs.

Their weekend answering service leaves a lot to be desired. If that was my determining factor I'd never use this company. The guy who finally answered on my third call after 8 AM in the morning only go my phone number right. The tech told me where he was headed and I informed him that I was only about 3 miles from there. The guy who answered the phone was going to send the tech some 20 miles away since he didn't put the right street. Dan called when he wrapped up and verified my address. Shame I can't control when the AC breaks but the $140 weekend and quot;diagnosticand quot; check bugged me more than anything since it took all of 5 minutes to fix.. Dan is great I've dealt with him off and on for 20 years.

Great! So far we have not encountered any problems. The A/C does seem to be somewhat noisy.

THE GUYS THAT ACTUALLY DID THE INSTALLATION DID OUTSTANDING WORK, BUT WE HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH IT. WE HAD TO BEG AND PLEAD FOR THEM TO COME BACK OUT AND FIX IT. WE HAD A MUSTY SMELL COMING FROM THE UNIT, AND WE HAD TO HAVE THEM COME OUT FOR A THIRD TIME.
