POOL SHACK

When I bought my first house with a pool, I was a bit intimidated to try to manage the equipment, automation and water quality. So for five years I had a Pool Guy (who I really trusted and liked as a person) When my pool guy said he was discontinuing service in my area, I was a bit concerned as I wasn't familiar with pool care. I contacted some of my neighbors and asked for referrals and most said that although they once had a pool service, they now do it themselves. I searched and found The Poll Shack and thought I would go and talk to them and see if I wanted to try to learn to take care of my pool myself. While under the care of my pool service, my pool had developed significant mustard algae. My pool service man poured a blue liquid into my pool and said it should take care of the issue. It did not so I went to see Mike at The Pool Shack and brought a sample of my pool water for him to test (free). He tested my water and said I was in need of quite a bit of salt, stabilizer and other chemicals that would tackle the mustard algae issue. My pool had not been being properly maintained by my pool service and honestly I was really taken back as I really trusted my pool guy. Mike was amazing and provided the chemicals and salt needed to get my pool in order. His knowledge was incredible and he is very patient with those of us "newbies" to pool maintenance and care. It has been a few months now thatI have been going to the Pool Shack and having my water tested. More often than not, I am sent away and being told "everything looks good, you don't need anything today" I had heard many horror stories from pool owners going to chain pool stores and every week being "upsold" or sold items they really didn't need. Not the case with Mike. He is very honest and only sells what he believes you need. So far he has been spot on every time. I have felt no pressure at any time and do not feel I am being sold things I don't need just so the company can make additional profit. I also had an issue with my auto pool vacuum. I was told by my pool service man it wasn't covering all the pool due to an incorrect number of hose pieces attached. I changed the number of pieces several times and there was still an area that wasn't being vacuumed. I was going to purchase a new higher end vacuum to see if that solved the issue. I told Mike about it and he said to bring the vacuum in and he would take a look. He quickly identified a couple of issues with parts that needed replacement and repaired my vacuum. He at no time tried to sell me a new vacuum, but repaired my existing 5 year old vacuum at a fraction of the cost of a new vacuum. Mike is a stand up guy and very honest. He takes whatever time it takes to educate his customers and address any of their needs. Although he is often busy (which I completely understand why) he takes the time with each and every customer. I cannot recommend Mike and The Pool Shack enough. I now can take care of any issues with my pool and chemistry and know that in the event I ever need any equipment repair, Mike at the Pool Shack will be my first call.

Mike at the Pool Shack is the best Business Operator I have ever dealt with. I got my first pool and he personally came out to my house to help me understand the system. Every time I go in there he offers Honest, Helpful Advice. He never upsells, and I always leave feeling better about my situation. Best Experience ever with a Local Business

Two different companies and 3 people came at various times during the three months the water wasn't being circulated. They had essentially given up and were unable to figure out why the system wasn't working. Pool Shack (Mitch) came (right on the time promised) and in one hour figured out the problem and fixed it. We were thrilled. Then in half an hour, Mitch did some other repairs we wanted done which would likely have taken another company several hours to do (or at least they surely would have charged us for the several hours). Everything is now working perfectly, the water is crystal clear and Mike and Mitch at Pool Shack are our heroes.

They come out and fix things like hot motors, etc. I will use them again in the future.
