Pep Boys

I use synthetic oil so it's a little bit more expensive. Sometimes the price is a little more than I thought it would be. I haven't had any problems using them. It usually takes an hour, hour and a half. I never talk to them. The waiting area is fine, it has a TV, water and coffee. It's fine, it's good, of course there are other places that might be faster, depends on who you know and where you go.

I went in for an oil change and they finished it the same day, but the next morning, my car started discharging white smoke. I ignored it, but it was happening every day for a week, but only when I started the car in the morning. I took the car back to pep boys and explained the issue about the smoke exhaust in the morning, but not any other time. They said it might be deposits in the fuel injectors and did an injector clean. So I had them do it.
Issue with smoke was still going on. I returned it back, but they could not do anything about it, because they couldn't recreate the issue. So picked up the car.
I went a car mechanic and the cause was that Pep Boys overfilled the oil reservoir during the the oil change cause some of the oil to burn off when starting the car.
Pep Boys might be OK for simple maintenance issues (tire replacement, rotation, windshield wiper replacement), but would not recommend them for any moderate to major car issue. For those, take it to a professional mechanic and not Pep Boys.

It was good. It just took a long time. That is my only problem with them. They did a good job.
