OLDE WORLD BRICK PAVERS

My complaint is with the sealing of the pavers.  The owner personally sealed the pavers.  He put too much sealant on (oversealed).
When the pavers get wet, they "milk-up" and look awful.  This has been going on for over two months.  It was obvious after the first couple of weeks that the pavers had been improperly sealed and that they would continue to look terrible every time they get wet from rain or a heavy overnight dew.  It has ruined an $8000 job and is a permanent visual blight on our property.  After 2 full months, several emails and numerous phone calls, the owner said he would refund the $600 he charged for the actual sealing.  After I stated I would file a complaint with the BBB he called back and said he found someone who would strip the pavers but I would have to sign a release BEFORE the work was done.  I told him that was totally unsatisfactory, no one signs-off before it's done.  I have filed a complaint with the BBB.  To resolve the complaint I require a refund of the $600 I paid him to seal the property plus $710 for having the pavers stripped by a contractor of my choice, a simple and inexpensive solution for him to have the BBB complaint resolved.  This has been an ongoing disappointment  for over two months and a problem that should have been resolved to my (the customer) satisfaction over a month ago.   He caused the problem but is unwilling to correct it - he has stated that I am a perfectionist and will never be satisfied.  I'll be more than happy to provide photographs of the sealing work he did that totally ruined the appearance of my pavers and the overall value of my property.

I appreciate the apology but it was 9 days after the promised estimate was due.

My existing brick paver driveway was too small and did not allow me adequate turning radius around the existing paver driveway circle or easy access in and out of my garage without driving onto my grass.  I also had a severe drainage issue that kept my grassy area very wet and full of water.  I also wanted to add a large parking pad in the rear of my house to provide additional space for myself and for my guests.
Chuck Mead, the owner of Olde World Brick Pavers Corp., did a fantastic job in identifying the causes of my drainage issue as well as completely eliminating the problem I was having.  He also was able to match my existing pavers.
Also, he made suggestions which (1) TREMENDOUSLY enhanced and improved the entrance to my home  (2) COMPLETELY eliminated my turning radius issue (3) enlarged my paver area to rectify my garage area challenge (4) COMPLETELY solved my drainage issue problem on my property (5) provided me with a matching parking pad and rolling estate gate that is so easy to open that it is a pleasure to use and (6) cleaned and sealed my entire paver driveway, entrance and new parking pad - very glossy and durable
The workmanship was beautiful, even the smallest brick paver angles and cuts were made perfect.  The crew was professional, courteous and left the premises neat and clean.  The job was handled quickly and efficiently - about 2 1/2 days -
Whatever I asked to be done was completed cheerfully and satisfactorily.
