"It is truly unfortunate when one of our patrons is not happy with our products or service. As anyone can clearly see, after reading our reviews, we strive daily and for 5 decades to provide the highest level of service for our customers. After our enclosure was completely installed, I received a call expressing discontent with a space between the upper edge of the door and the bottom of the header. I immediately expressed my empathy to Mrs. [Member Name Removed], however, the unit was built exactly to the correct specification. During the time of my initial sales visit, Mrs. [Member Name Removed] was shown and emailed exact representations of this unit. In addition, it was weeks later, after my initial visit with her, that she called back to place this order. Even while my installer was still on the premesis, I emailed multiple examples of the same style units which clearly showed that the unit was installed perfectly. Also at this time, we even offered to make a modification to the door to raise it up. Unfortunately, this was not acceptable. It was clear at this point, after a lengthy conversation, that I would not be able to satisfy Mrs. [Member Name Removed]. Our only option at that point was to remove the enclosure. As this enclosure was custom made, we are not able to refund the 25% deposit. I am truly saddened that she felt it necessary to write what I feel is a factually incorrect and potentially damaging review about a company that has received so much praise and that she spent so much time researching. Before I ordered, I decided to get another quote from another glass company which I had used in the past and their quote was several hundreds of dollars higher and the estimate process was not as professional, nor as quick to get a written estimate. It is clear that Dixie Showers focuses on showers and customer's needs.
My glass was installed today by Luis and his helper Juan. They were a great team and took incredible care as they installed the new glass. They arrived in a really nice, new truck where the glass was safely housed inside (as opposed to so many glass trucks you see where they are hung in racks on the bed of the truck, vulnerable to the environment or rocks, etc.). They put down a pad to ensure they would not scratch anything, they wiped their feet well every time they entered the house, they were clean and tidy, conscientious and very attentive to detail. They ensured I was happy with all aspects of the installation before they left and they were relaxed and unhurried through the entire install. Excellent experience.

After the measurements he showed us specific measurements that caused the glass to require custom cutting, only a small additional cost, and upon our acceptance of the price, the glass was ordered promptly. It was received within a few days at their facility, checked for issues (some found), it was reordered and ready to go within 3 more days.
We scheduled promptly when it was confirmed to be good, and the job was done at our next convenience, Dixie Shower Doors was very easy to work with.
The installation was done in only 2.5 hours, even considering it was pouring rain as they were bringing in the glass sheets for installation. Each one had to be dried thoroughly and later cleaned of smudges meticulously after installation. We would shown the finished product, explained the details of how it works. Yes, we know how to use a shower, but the features were illustrated. One aspect was that because it was frameless, there was a small plastic runner at the bottom of the door segment that would keep the water inside. Another aspect was how to maintain the glass in pristine condition.

Update - i did contract with Dixie Shower Doors for a new shower door and it remained an excellent service experience. They actually had my door made and installed within a week of ordering it, showing up when they said they would and with a real pleasant and knowledgeable installer. Thanks once again for another positive, no stress experience!

Despite the holidays, they were able to arrange an appointment to come out and give an estimate. Matthew came to the house, took detailed measurements and gave us our best option and price. While we did not choose this company, we were very happy with their service, punctuality and professionalism. Their price was very competitive and will contact them again in the future for any future possible remodel jobs we may have.
