7:15 a.m. on the morning of January 25th, our home alarm started blaring, blasting the sound of an intruder alert. Jolted from my sound sleep, I suddenly jumped out of bed while feeling disoriented, slipped and fell as I raced towards my bedroom door. The alarm was still blaring as I ran around throughout the house to confront the would be intruder in our home. There was no intruder. It had been an extremely windy and rainy morning, apparently, and according to what your technicians told me the last time that this type of false alarm had taken place at our home, the sensors were activated by the palm trees limbs blowing outside the of our front side door windows. The technicians from Digital Living were supposed have solved this issue because we had this same experience last month and the month before that ( after having come out to our home on two separate occasions for this exact same issue of false alarms being triggered by their over sensitive sensors that were installed. In the previous situation?s false alarms, it was during the work- week during the early morning hours between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. that the alarms bolted me from my restful sleep. In both cases, the alarms adversely affecting my ability to concentrate at work for each entire day. I have to two children in my home, along with my wife and I. My health is not good and I am seeing a doctor for stress related issues. The elevated stress levels I am experiencing due to your alarm system with its spur-of-the-moment actuated loud uncontrollable noise ? which raises my heart rate; releases cortisol, and the body?s fight-or-flight ?stress? hormone ? caused by your companies inability to resolve this issue has negatively impacting not only me (health wise), but my entire families quality of life. In fact, since we have been with your company, a little more than a year, your product has continued to bring anxiety into our family atmosphere because of the unreliability of the product and the service technicians that you have employed to resolve the on going disruption of your alarms sensors to our lives (after you have sent your technicians out to ?fix? the problem several times). They never resolved the issue and became quite defensive with me in the process. I cancelled their service.
