I love the owner, he is wonderful, billing is great. When the owner is there, work is amazing but when he is not there, his staff doesn't do good work.

Bob Colonna and his crew do a professional job and are always prompt and responsive. Our lawn has never looked as good as it does with their services!

However ...... within the first 21-28 days, the sod started showing signs of disease. I called Paul for a follow up/ post diagnostic but he had had been in an accident and was not available for business. I then contacted his partner, Dwayne and he said he'd come to the property within two days for an examination. He never showed. I called again, he apologized and said he would come to my property the following Monday. Once again -- he was a and quot;no call/no showand quot;.

Keep in mind that I had followed the sod care directions to a 'tee'. I have a lifetime of experience with Florida lawncare. Heron Pest control said that the sod my have been infected at the sod farm and that I should contact A Cut Above Lawn Service for a replacement. But Heron Pest continued treatment -- to no avail. My records can show that I continually called Paul LaDuc repeatedly -- approximately 12 times over the follwing 9 weeks. On the week 11, I called anonymously and asked for an estimate on my lawn, thinking that this would be the only way to get Paul to property. He arrived the next morning and pulled in front of my house. Realizing where he was, he didn't even get out of his truck and drove away. He did not follow up with a phone call or an explanation until two weeks later when -- in a recorded voice-mail message -- he said and quot;...I just don't why I didn't follow up with you. I just don't know what is wrong with me.and quot; With that said, he still never agreed to fix this problem. I made subsequent (very polite) calls to him and he did return my call once again two weeks later with the quote and quot; You can't expect me to replace your lawn after 16 weeks... we now have no way of determining what went wrong.and quot; I reminded hiim that I began calling him within the first 21 days from the sod installation date -- with no responses from him or his partner Dwayne. Keep in mind that the messages I left were always courteous and business-like. I was never rude or unkind; I truly wanted them to succeed.

Apparently, by his actions, I have to assume that Paul LaDuc puposely put off a post-diagnostic because it bought him time and put distance between his service and the poor aftereffects. I even tipped him and his partner, Dwayne at the outset and he had absolutley no follow up or customer service care. Today, I am left with a lawn in worse condition than before A Cut Above Lawn Care performed their services.

I cannot recommend the services of Paul LaDuc or A Cut Above Lawn Care.

I had to make sure they filled in a couple of places with sod that they had left. I followed watering guidelines and about a month later the sod in the front yard started dying. I had not even let the person that mows mow my section. In late May the owner was contacted and finally returned my call and said he would be out the following Monday. He never showed up. I'm certain I got a bad batch of sod because my old grass in the rest of the yard (very small) is doing fine. The back yard also started dying about 2 months after it was put it. It also was very uneven and it's been difficult walk on. It was not rolled and didn't know it was supposed to be. Communication was poor throughout the process.

It was very good because he does the work well and he keeps everything neat and clean. He is professional and friendly. The price is reasonable for what he does. He is exceptional. I have had some bad experiences with lawn care and I never have to tell him what to do, he just automatically does what's needed.
