We were pleased with how the remodel turned out. We had had a house fire. Stapen basically rebuilt the entire inside. They have listened to us about what we want for the project. The project has taken a little while; we not quite done. Things have turned out well so far. They are very good about staying in touch and keeping in communication with us.

Extremely well.  Our home was their first large (5,000 plus sq ft) custom home and Jeff and staff were attentive, professional and accommodating.  Ten years later it is still a very well built home and I will use them again without reservation.  Were there hiccups?  Of course, it is the nature of construction.  A few of the problems were not of their creation (architect), but they always found solutions without excuse.  They take the time to introduce you to any sub-contractors and I really liked all of the subs.  They do a very good job of qualifying their subs to ensure they have the skill to complete custom work.  Their on-site project management was excellent.  Pricing was fair, and when my decisions caused change orders, they explained thoroughly what would cost more and ways we could minimize the financial impact.  Most importantly, there were no surprises regarding time or cost....and that is rare
We are planning some renovations in the near future, and I will work with Stapen Construction without a second thought.

He was very good. The quality of the work was very very high.  He is a very nice guy. They showed up and they did it. It took longer then expected but that always happens with construction. It was very well done and we are pleased. It was very nice. They were always professional and very efficient in what they were doing. We had a fire placed resurfaced with stone and  it is absolutely gorgeous. It is incredibly artistic work. Their wood worker was terrific. Every part of it was excellent. It was fairly expensive; electricity redone, a rather difficult installation of a track light done on a very high ceiling.  It was fairly complicated and done beautifully. It was not cheap but we got good work. You get what you pay for. The pricing was fair.
