RON'S TREE SERVICE

We had a tree that had been eaten by termites and was in danger of coming down. Ron's was recommended by neighbors, and came in with the lowest quote (fully half what a competitor wanted to charge for the same job). The work was done within the timeframe discussed, and every effort was made to ensure that nothing fell on the house or our neighbor's property. The guys were also good sports about my husband and father-in-law hanging around the whole time and picking out logs they wanted to save. Would absolutely work with this company again.

A fair estimate was promptly provided. Service was scheduled and completed efficiently within a few days.

Quick response for quotation, fair price and scheduled work was completed on time.  This is the 3rd time in 3 years I used Ron's.  I highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Ron.  I received an estimate of $1600 to cut, grind stumps, and remove both trees on 6/30/2011.  In December I was finally ready to move on with the project, however I also wanted to cut down an additional two smaller trees in the back.  I called Ron on Saturday 12/10/2011 about 4 pm.  He called me back on Sunday.  He honored his price on the quote of 6 months earlier and came out at 6:30 am on Monday, 12.12/2011 to look at the 2 smaller trees.  My total estimate was $1850.  Ron did all the work on Monday 12/12/2011.  When I came home from work, the job was done.  Ron stopped over later that evening and I paid him. Beautiful job. In addition, Ron put me in touch with a contractor who is going to resurface my hardwood floors at an incredible price. And a contractor to do some dirty work in my back yard. Ron is a great guy who just GETS IT!  What a find!

THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME I HAD RON DO WORK FOR ME.  BOTH TIMES I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH ALL ASPECTS OF THE JOB.  HE WAS PROMPT AND DID ALL OF THE WORK IN A TIMELY FASHION.  THE FIRST JOB REQUIRED THE REMOVAL OF TWO VERY LARGE TREES (ONE OAK AND A MAPLE) AND GRINDING THE STUMPS.  THE SECOND TIME, HE REMOVED TWO LARGE SPRUCE TREES AND A MEDIUM SIZED CRABAPPLE.   SEVERAL EVERGREENS ALONG THE SIDE OF THE PROPERTY WERE TRIMMED AND MANY FALLEN LIMBS WERE REMOVED.  TREES ALONG THE DRIVEWAY WERE TRIMMED AS WAS A LARGE MAPLE ON THE FRONT LAWN.  I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK DONE AND WITH THE PRICE CHARGED. 

Ron came out himself to look at the trees and did the estimate.  He was the first to call me back and to do the estimate.  I thought the price was reasonable for the size of the job.  After calling him back to let him know that I had decided to go with his service, the work was completed a few days later.  They had all the equipment needed and 5 people worked to do the job in a matter of a few hours.  They completed it even though it started to rain at the end.  I was a happy customer and would gladly use Ron's tree service again.

I had received quotes from other companies, but Ron's agreed to do it at a price I requested after I asked them if they could come down in price a little, only if I paid in cash on same day.  Responsiveness to phone calls was very poor.  I had a very hard time getting phone calls returned.  The work done on the tree was a little rushed and limbs were just taken off at random - I was asked by the crew what I wanted done, when I had already explained this to the person who had originally looked at the tree. It was my understanding that the details would have been given to the crew prior to coming out.  I even noticed after they left that some dead limbs were still on tree.  Overall, not a great experience.

We had a very bad storm on a Friday nite which resulted in a 20 or 25 foot tree in our front yard being blown over. I called Ron's tree service on Saturday. I was told He would not be able to come out until Mon or Tues to look at the situation. He came on Tues. afternoon and quoted me a price of 350.00 for removal and grinding of the stump. The crew came the next day and in approximately 25 min it was all cleaned up.They did a great job and we were very satisfied.

We left a message on the machine and Ron Harrington returned our call the next day. He scheduled us for an estimate within two days. He was reasonable and able to do the work sooner than others could even come for an estimate. The crew came when we were told they would, checked with us as to what was to be done. The job was performed efficiently and clean up was great. I would recommend them to anyone needing a good job at a good price.

Overall, service was excellent. They cleaned up all of the branches, chips and leaves from the area, around their truck and the road and collected them in their truck. They completed the job in about an hour and a half.

We had a mostly dead tree in out front yard that needed to go. It was next to power lines and the street, as well as over our driveway. Looked on Angie's List and found a couple companies. Got a great quote from Ron's Tree Service. They were busy so we had to wait a while, but being fall it's understandable. We are busy too and missed a call from them as well, so we had a little trouble connecting, but it worked out. Tree and stump removed nicely and they cleaned up great. Very pleased.

It went well

During a wind storm, approximately 40 feet of the tree in our front yard toppled to the ground. Within 15 minutes of calling, they came to provide an estimate. They removed the piece of tree on the ground that same afternoon and swept the sidewalk and raked the yard. The next day(after the wind had died down)they came with a crane and removed the remaining damaged pieces of tree. They were very careful not to hit anything(house, cars parked in the street, our light post)and I was impressed that they managed to do so given the tight quarters. Same as before, the crew swept and raked afterwards and my yard looked better than it had before the tree fell. I would not hesitate to use them again!

After problems with another contractor, I asked another company to check the tree. His climber said they could remove it manually though it had a hole and significant rot. However, he didn't seem that confident to me. I decided to use a crane for safety. I called Ron and he was able to schedule me on the same day as another job to share crane expenses. He was professional and easy to talk with. The First State crane company and Ron's Tree worked together to finish the job. A small branch fell out of one section and made about a 5" hole in the roof. Ron phoned me right away to give me a head's up. Ron had a nearby roofer come patch it immediately, and says he is willing to have a more complete job done if I don't think it is a strong enough fix. He flush-cut the stump, and removed all debris. He also elevated the sweetgum limbs that were too close to my roof. He put things back to their former state. Overall, good to work with, competitive prices, well done.
