The recessed lighting turned out OK, but they left huge holes in ceiling and wall (5" square) that should have been resolved with tape, etc... making for a very difficult finishing job. In addition, an entire circuit in a part of my house they were working on stopped working completely. When called to ask that they review that, no answer was received... sad.

While selling my house the buyer's inspector said the main line to our electric meter was very old and needed replacing. I called Rich on a Saturday and he came out two days later to replace the line and the meter box. Very pleased.

Excellent-professional yet friendly and they hustled. One guy meticulously hung each crystal on the sconces for me which was not totally necessary. My only concern is that the foyer light is hanging from the copper wire it's that tight. But there have been no repurcussions as a result. They were exceptionally professional for their age which I guess shows u mine. Like they were ambitious and focused on developing and/or carrying on a solid business. I really appreciate it! TREVOR, THE SON OF THE OWNER AND AN APPRENTICE ARRIVED PROMPTLY. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. WORK WENT QUICK AND THE JOB WAS NEAT. ALL PACKAGE MATERIAL AND OLD FIXTURES WERE TAKEN AWAY.

They are a family business and very punctual and very polite and clean.

When the owner first came over to talk with me about the job -- look at the job and give me a cost estimate -- he brought along his son who probably was in his early 20's. The owner said that he would not be doing the job but that his son would. The owner then left and had his son look at the work to be done and give me an estimate. In general, the outlet work went fine except it was not expanded as I thought it would be. Instead there is an outlet strip. I expressed concern that there still would be a lot of electricity being pulled out of the one outlet, but he said that was not a problem. In the end, I need to take his word for it.
The second job was done very poorly. I showed the son the box that containing my new light and where it was to be placed. He then went to work and I went back inside. When he finished, it was still light out so we could not test it to any great extent. Over the next couple of days, I came to realize that he had set it in a way that left the light on all the time, even though we had discussed that issue and he was to set it for 15 minutes on when it detected motion. Since the light shined right into my neighbor's bedroom window, I had to turn it off completely until he could come back and fix it. I called and he arranged to come the next day. He came, looked at it for a few minutes and said he had made some sort of adjustment and that it should work now. It did not work. In the meantime, I went out into the garage to get the owner's manual and could not find it anywhere. He apparently put it in his pick-up and disposed of the box for the new light that still contained the owner's manual and another very small piece that was to be used if the light stayed on all the time (this information I obtained from the manufacturer). So I called his father, the owner of the company and asked him to come over and see what the problem is and fix it. Owner did come over and had no idea why it was doing what it was doing. Kept talking about it being one of those fancy lights, which it was not. In the end, said he could not fix it but would sell me a simple one for $150!!!! I did NOT accept his offer and did not call him again. To date, my motion-detection light does not work properly, although I will be having someone coming out soon to fix it. I thought it was unbelievable that the son had tossed the owner's manual. I called the manufacturer and was sent a manual plus a small piece which they believe was left out when the light was mounted. So, I end up paying twice for having the new light put up.

We had extensive electrical work done on an older home. At the time, I was reasonably satisfied, though I had reservations about some issues that seemed to betray carelessness. (e.g., a reostat was hot. Rich said that it was rated for 500 watts. I pointed out that the fixture it served had 12 60-watt bulbs for a total of 720 watts and he somewhat reluctantly replaced it.) Serious problems arose shortly after the "completion" of the work, the worst of which (so far) was a very scary electrical fire (in a new exterior outlet) and some charring on interior outlets. Another electrician subsequently pointed out that our service (amperage) is less than that the RMV's invoice we paid, that visible wiring in the basement was dangerous, and that we do not have the inspection sticker. I shudder to think what else may be awry but cannot afford to start over. Over a period of two years, I called Rich more than a dozen times. He never returned a single call.

RMV Electric had done previous work for me. They were prompt, efficient, and are a good value. I would highly recommend them.

They were immaculate, professional and a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend using them.

Rich came out and did the estimate on time. He was very professional and did not try to sell me extras (like many electricians did) He price was extremely fair. He stated he prob couldn't get to us quickly. But after hearing our needs, he offered to come out on a Saturday to do the work. He finished the rough in phase in one day. After we had the drywall installed and finished, he had one of his crew come in and finish up the rest of the project. I highly recommend using RMV for a fast and fairly priced job. Very professional and could not be happier with their service.

He came out did the job, and gave me quotes for future work. I thought my outlets were not grounded based on what someone told me. Rich checked and told me my outlets were grounded. He could have pretended that I still needed the outlets to be grounded and charged me for something I did not need.

I also thought that I needed and outlet updated to an higher amp based on an 8500 BTU air conditioner. Ron suggested that since the room was small that I would only need a 5,000 BTU and would not need an higher amp which would have cost me more money. I don't think a contractor would have suggested this.

I will be contacting RMV for future work to be done and have recommended him already.

I left a message for Rich, he returned my call and we scheduled an appt. He was prompt and he did the work quickly. He reduced the price of the original estimate because the work was very straightforward and routine.

He did a good job. When he first came out he did not have a ladder that was tall enough, but he came back with a taller ladder and got the job done. It was a little difficult to get ahold of him, but his work was good, and we were very happy with the quality of work he did.

The contractor explained everything he was going to do and went right to work. The clean up he did was magnificent. I waited to schedule the work according to his schedule because of the awesome work he does.
