I hired Presley Enterprises (Rob Presley) on May 14, 2015, in good faith, to fix areas of my home that had been initially damaged by a bad gutter. The gutter had been improperly installed, causing water to enter my exterior walls. My flat roof on the rear addition of my home had also presented warped wood. Mr. Presley did replace some of the damaged wood, but not all of it, though he claimed to have replaced it all. Instead of initially replacing the old, bent gutter, he put it back on my home, and added no flashing. When he did this, the rain began to enter behind the warped gutter, and back into the walls, which was the cause of the original problem. After about four attempts to "bend" the old, rotted gutter into submission, which only caused more water to enter my home, and more stress on my part, Presley finally offered to install a new gutter ?free of charge." This, of course, was the most expensive and stressful "free" item I have even experienced, and this is where the real problems began. Presley improperly installed the gutter. He did not use flashing, nor did he add a drop-down edge behind the gutter. Instead, he used cheap tape and caulk, likely assuming that I would never see his shoddy work. It rained several times, and each time, I texted Presley to alert him to the water that was pouring into my home and behind his ?free,? improperly installed gutter. I practically begged him to come and fix the problem. He ignored my texts. Water kept pouring into my home and behind the gutter, back into the walls that he "replaced." Also, Presley tried to fool me by telling me that he dug an underground path for my water to flow from the downspout. As it turned out, Presley buried an aluminum downspout into the ground (which is illegal) instead of a proper PVC pipe. When a real expert came to survey this, he was appalled. He found the smashed aluminum downspout buried underground, which only caused more water to be backed up onto my property. Furthermore, Presley installed some aluminum pieces backwards! Once Presley was paid, he refused to answer my numerous texts or calls. He has caused an intensive amount of stress, and I want to be reimbursed for the work, and well as for pain and suffering. The anguish he caused was formidable. (I have photos of this shoddy work.) Then, it September, it rained again. And the "roof" that Presley allegedly replaced started to leak. Turns out he didn't do a drip edge, and he put nails into my flat roof. I sued him in small claims court, got a default judgement, but Ill never see the money. The guy never showed up and hes self-employed. Don't ever hire this man. It was the most stressful summer of my life, thanks to him.
