We have had many contractors come through since then to give a new estimate and complete the job correctly. They are all stunned at what they see on the walls. First off, he used Mastic, which soaked right through and ruined the marble that was up (at least 1K worth of material wasted). It was slathered on so thick, according to various contractors "it never would have dried". The floor was not too bad on sight, though several pieces were not cut correctly and will need to be replaced (did not cut around toilet accurately either).
When I took the cement board down, what was behind it was the original shower pipes, and about $7 worth of materials to extend the shower. The plumber here right now putting in an actual new shower system said the first time we hung anything off the shower head, what was up would have snapped off.
I am now working to line up a contractor to complete the job so am out a functioning bathroom much longer than planned and will have to buy product again to replace what was ruined.
This guy is nothing but a rip off. He lied (adhesive), he cheated (destroying material), and tried to steal from me (shower). I would strongly recommend users void this provider at all costs!
