They seem to have a high turnover and it is tiring to keep explaining to new people the rules of the house etc

Every time was like their first time. i gave up.

So so. Seemed like most of the crew was new at cleaning.

HORRIBLE! I cannot believe I put up with them for as long as I did. MULTIPLE times when they were scheduled I received a call saying they "didn't get to my house" today and needed to reschedule. I also had multiple calls saying my key wasn't working (funny how it worked every other time for them AND every day for us). You KNOW how much goes into getting your house ready for the cleaners to come - I cannot tell you what a waste of time it becomes to get the house ready just for them not to show up and have to reschedule!!! They are actually making my life more DIFFICULT. In addition, there was one time they got bleach on my bathroom wall and rugs and broke a picture frame. The most recent cleaning I came home and my kitchen floor had clearly not been cleaned well - they just mopped the center of the floor (the streaks were still there to prove it). My kitchen table was not wiped down, my family room rug was not done, and my wastebaskets were not emptied - ALL things their service was supposed to provide. Honestly, everyone I ever met or spoke to from the service was lovely, but at the point when a cleaning service makes my life more difficult, I have to warn others!

I've used them before as handymen.  They are v ery good.

It went very well.  The company said they would send over 3-4 people.  Although only 2 people actually showed up, they worked hard and got the job done.  Some things were cleaned exceptionally well, others a little less well with some dust remaining on items on basement shelves.  However, given the magnitude of the job, and the price charged (extremely reasonable), we were very satisfied with what they did.  We initially got a quote for the work from a major post-disaster clean up company and that estimate was in the thousands of dollars -- Markatos' s price was 1/20th of the larger estimate so I was quite amenable to having a little bit of dust left behind.

The team left my home so spotless and shiny - I was SO PLEASED.  Very professional.

They did a very nice job. They did a good job. I thought they were extremely reasonable, in fact I called because I thought they had underbided.

After an initial and quot;deep cleaningand quot; of our house which was very thorough, I decided to use Markatos services on an every other week basis. I like not having to clean the kitchen and bathrooms, and they do a great job. Especially helpful is that they will change bed linens. I plan to have them do our windows inside and out later this summer.
They bring their own cleaning products and equipment and that is included in the price.

Hiring Markatos Services has turned out to be one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made with regards to my home AND my sanity. What started out to be a promising professional relationship nearly a year ago quickly turned sour. (I found myself writing and calling them repeatedly. That may sound like I’m overly picky and full of complaints, but I believe I had legitimate reasons: closing up a room so my pet couldn’t reach her water and food. On good wood furniture, continuously using products that I asked them NOT to use, even when I provided my preferred brand. They failed to come once and never let me know that they’d bumped my appointment; after complaining about this, they called the next time they wanted to reschedule – but not until 5:00 p.m. on the day they were supposed to show. One time, I came home to a pile of dirty rags on my front step. The list goes on and on – a series of little annoyances that, added up, just became more and more exasperating.) But eight months ago, I called with something SERIOUS – that right after they were in my home, I found two valuable items missing. Markatos denies any accountability for my loss and has told me that the case is closed (their insurance company declined my claim), but they have also told me that they let the suspected employee go two days after my ring and cash went missing AND that they have now reviewed and improved their employee background check system. Why would they do that if they bear no responsibility? That may help future customers, but this one remains at a loss.
My experience with Markatos over the past year has left me believing that if you treasure your belongings, valuables in your home, your pet, and your peace of mind, stay far away from Markatos Services. I wish I’d known then what I know now – I’d never have trusted them to enter my house.

We were moving to the area and they did a move-in day cleaning for us. They had short notice, but were punctual and thorough.

They did a good job on the windows. When they left, they left dirt on the floor and a wet dirty rag on the floor by my bed.

There just amazing and friendly.

It's a local company. I use them every two weeks. They are excellent. The service went really well. They are located within a mile of my house. They come out when they need to.
