We had a very small roofing job - replacing the roof to our front porch - maybe 50 sq ft. Also had to reroute some of the gutter. But small jobs are actually harder than big ones. Nonetheless, Lane worked us into the schedule and did a great job. Showed up exactly on time... took their time to get it right... looks great and functions perfectly. Great job!

Have ZERO complaints about Lane Roofing. Used them back in 2003 when I bought my home and discovered I had a roof leak. Company came out, gave me all the disclaimers that "this may not work..etc.etc.etc.) but they found the source of the leak on the edge of my flat roof, and the fix lasted for 14 years. Would have lasted more I think, but I replaced the entire roof then. Went back to Lane. Got a quote for new WHITE EPDM roof for the flat roof and 30yr shingle and new gutters. Guys did amazing job and left me extra shingles so I could put them on the new porch roof I was having built the next year. Ralph Short was contact. Great guy. No bull. Fast. Honest. Dependable. Cost-conscious recommendations. Great quality. On-site to manage his team. Reliable. Ralph is now an independent roofer. But Lane as a roofing company has wokred on my roof twice wiht 2 foremans over 15 years. And both flawless. That speaks volumes to a company to keep maintaining quality across staff changes over 15 years.

After receiving estimates from a few roofing companies, I contracted Lane Roofing and Exteriors to install new Certainteed Landmark Pro roofing shingles, underlayment, flashing, solar skylight, and some aluminum capping along the rake of the house. They were not the cheapest but I personally know seven happily satisfied friends and family that have used their services in the past so that was a huge factor plus the fact that I preferred the Certainteed product and warranty over other shingle manufacturers. The roofing and skylight and were completed in a single day with the capping done soon after. The installation, crew, and clean-up was very professional, high quality, and well done. They entire group from Wayne doing the estimate, Rhonda in the office, Chris Lane the owner, and Mike on-site were easy to work with, very professional, with great communication. Highly Recommend.

I called Lane Roofing and spoke to Rhonda to get an estimate. She sent Casey out and he provided a written estimate and contract. I agreed and he proceeded to make the repairs. I was impressed with the way he completed the repairs. I will recommend Lane Roofing to anyone that I know who needs roof repair.

Totally positive experience with Lane Roofing. The Office Manager Rhonda returned my call promptly and her quote was accepted. Mike arrived on time for the job (on time is always a plus) and got right to it. He even pointed out other areas which, while didn't require attention now, would in the future, thanks for that too! Everything went great was impressed that owner actually came out when I got my estimate. Turn around time was good from time I paid my first installment payment to install date was about 2 weeks. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to get a good job done.

Excellent! The price was reasonable; Mr. Lane contacted me and explained what work needed to be done; his office manager (Rhonda) visited my home and further explained the entire process; she was friendly, courteous, definitely knows her job! The roofer (Mike) took the time to explain the roofing project, how long it would take, and when he expected to be finished.

Went well. Quality of workmanship was good. The protection of plants during old roof removal and the post work cleanup could have been a little better, but overall a good job. Crew was hard working and respectful.

I hired Lane Roofing after the owner came to my residence to provide me a quote for a new roof on my townhouse. As a single woman, I found Mr. Lane to be helpful, experienced, and thoroughly knowledgeable about his business. The quote was not only lower, but my roof was able to be completed in a very timely manner much to my satisfaction. I was afraid of damage that would be done from roofing materials falling from three stories above, but I was called a few days before my roof was started and told what precautions to take. I was surprised at how well the cleanup was performed. Because I have a small dog, I was afraid of nails and debris that might be left behind. I saw no sign of nails or roofing materials left behind and the big dumpster was taken away within 24 hours of my roof being completed. I would highly recommend Lane Roofing to anyone in need of roofing or exterior work.

My husband and I highly recommend Lane roofing and exteriors. The crew arrived on time, were very respectful and extremely hard-working. The quality of the work was excellent and they left our property as pristine as when they arrived. Our dogs and children play on our property so we were very pleased they left no debris behind.
Overall I would rate this company with an A++

I had experienced a bad sales pitch from this company earlier in the year, but once made aware of the situation, the head of the company met me at my house and correctly diagnosed my problem.  I had my estimate of the work emailed to me promptly, and the work was finished in a timely manner.
Based on my latest experience with them, I would consider working with them again.  

On October 6, 2013, we began a search of roofing contractors in our county, to provide an estimate to have our old roof replaced. After weighing the pros and cons, we settled on Lane Roofing for our initial contact. They were chosen initially, from other comments that were seen here on Angies List, close proximity to our neighborhood and price. We did not expect to hear back from then for a few days, since it was the weekend. Within an hour, Ed called back, asking a few questions and we settled on the next day for his estimate. Ed was punctual and professional throughout this contact. We could tell right away that he knew all the in's and out's of the roofing business. He quickly wrote up a quote and after a short discussion, we decided to proceed with Lane. We could have postponed signing the contract to get a couple more estimates, but Ed's knowledge and dedication to us as clients, was top shelf. We decided at that time to proceed, as we knew it would be at least two to three weeks before the work would take place, due to there being about 5 scheduled installations ahead of us. Scott was the foreman for the job. He called the night before the tear-off was to begin, saying that he and his crew would be at our house between 7:30 and 8:00 the next morning. True to his word, he was there by 7:45. The workers arrived along with the supplies at the same time. The five or six workers began the roof removal and worked hard until 6:15pm. There appeared to be a short slow-down around noon, assumedly for their lunch break. The second day began, just as the first day, where the work was done practically non-stop until dusk, which was a little after 6pm. The tear-off and new roof had been completed in two days. The third day was for the installation of the gutters and downspouts. This was done by a different crew. They were just as hardworking and completed their work within a few hours. The job was technically completed at that time. This morning, Scott returned to check-out the completed work. We signed off on the job, which was completed just as it was specified. There is not one negative comment to report for this company. The roof comes with a two-year workmanship warranty, and a lifetime warranty for the shingles. We could not be more pleased and would recommend them in a second to anyone who is considering a new roof.

My house had a cedar shake roof with 2 layers of shingles.  Lane's technician examined the roof, explained in detail the required work and provided an estimate.  The work was then scheduled for the following week.  His men arrived as scheduled and completed the work as agreed in a very professional manner.  They were very good at cleaning up debris resulting from the work and were careful with my landscaping.  I would highly recommend this company for any of the services they perform.  They are knowledgeable, do quality work and are punctual, courteous and honest.

Our experience with Lane Roofing & Exteriors was a delight from the very beginning.  Everyone we came in contact with was polite & professional.  The workers were very courteous to our household as well as to our neighbors.  They finished our roof on time and the finished product was beyond our expectations!!  My husband & I would/will recommend this company to anyone that is looking for exterior work to be done on their home!  

Maybe the worst contractor I have ever dealt with.  I called a few different roofers to get estimates to replace a roof on my rental property.  Lane came out and the sales person seem knowledgeable and quoted the lowest price so I went with them.  They replaced my roof in the time frame originally quoted and every thing seemed to be great.  Everything was great up until we had a our first rain storm.  After the first major rain, my tenants called to let me know that water was coming through the ceiling drywall in the bedroom.  The damage was so bad that the drywall had started to cave in and the carpet was drenched.  When I called Lane about this major problem only 2 weeks after they had replaced my roof, they said it would take a couple of days to get somebody out there.  Once I finally got somebody out there to assess the damage and the problem it took another week or 2 to get them to fix it.  The reason the roof leaked was that the chimney was not flashed correctly (they admitted that).  What made the whole ordeal worse was the general lack of concern they had after shoddily installing my new roof.  In the roughly 2 and half weeks it took them to get out and fix their mistake, we had more rain which caused more damage to the interior of the house.  While they fixed the problem on the roof, they said that there warranty did not cover anything in the house.  I had to cut out a large portion of the drywall and replace it.  I also had to replace the soaked carpet.  What truly bothered me was the day after the job was completed they called wanting final payment.  Everything looked good so I happily wrote them the check.  But only 2 weeks later when the roof they installed leaked (and when I say leak it was a running stream of water), they could have cared less.  It wasn't 2 years later I was calling with a problem but a couple of weeks.  I would have expected somebody out there the next day since the work was just completed.  I looked at getting an attorney, but ultimately it would have cost more money then it would have been worth to pursue legally.  I basically had to eat the additional costs myself.  I have work with a number of different contractors over the years and my experience with Lane was far and away my worst experience.  I would strongly recommend using somebody else for your roofing needs.
