J.R. Walker Roofing & Siding

This is a follow-up to an earlier review. I was very pleased with the roofing work. It looks great and the workmanship appears quite good. However, the gutter and shutter work were not done correctly and have needed follow-up repair. I would recommend highly for the roof but would suggest going elsewhere for gutters and/or shutters.

Excellent craftsmen who were very efficient and clean. Worked straight through except for some rainy periods. Quite pleased with the results.

We had Jesse out about a month prior to doing work to get an idea of what we were looking at. He gave us a “worst case scenario” on replacing all the wood on the bay window at $1,900. I was worried we might be looking at twice that, so the price was great, the only problem was they were booked solid for two months with big roofing jobs and we needed the work done to sell our house. Jesse and his team were understanding and worked us in on the first weekend they had free. Even with a complicated job with some intricate woodworking they paid attention to detail and wrapped it up in the weekend and at almost $600 below the worst case he quoted.

The estimator came out and gave clear information explaining their
work.  Was impressed that he was the only estimator that actually got up
on the roof.  Quote came in and it was clearly the best of three.   But
did not go for low quote I went with the quality of the estimation,
explanation of the materials and the reviews here.  Anyway had to wait a
bit longer than hoped but the job was scheduled ahead of time and was
done on time and as promised.  I even had a small addition to a gutter
and they quoted fast and added it.    We really appreciated dealing with
the office manager especially helping us to pick the best color for us
and communication.  They cleaned up the job and it looked very nice.  Job well done.

No issues everything went as planned. Good fair estimate.

Jesse and his team were extremely professional, courteous and careful to insure that everything was done correctly, on time and within the estimated budget. Certainly this company is on the short list for replacing the main house roof when needed. A pleasure!

After purchasing a restored pre-civil war Amish farmhouse less than 2 years ago, the roof and gutters were failing miserably from improper installation. The porch roof did not have enough pitch for shingles and was rotting away from water damage. Jessie Walker, owner of J.R. Walker roofing came out to give an estimate. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and informed me that the pitch of the porch could use only a burndown tar or metal roof system since shingles would be useless. He knew immediately that the entire roof and gutter system was incorrectly installed. After a few revised estimates, Jessie came in with a very good price and started work as soon as the weather permitted. They finished the whole job in less than seven days and Jessie was on site most of the time with his crew working with them. The entire crew was very friendly and extremely professional. Jessie took care of any minor additions I requested with no added cost. They did a phenomenal job with immaculate cleanup that gave me a beautiful, pristine, secure and functioning roof and gutter system that has greatly increased the value of my home far beyond the cost of their services. Jessie and his wife Alison stayed in constant communication with me from estimate to completion. It was truly a delight to work with these consummate pros and I will be contacting them when I redo the siding on my home. Don't hesitate to call J.R. Walker, they ARE the ROCK STARS of roofing! 2 thumbs way up! A+++++++!

Having to get a new roof freaked me out...its a lot of money and you hear so many horror stories from other home owners. I had multiple estimates but Jesse, from JR Walker, made me feel secure and they knew what they were doing! They were proffesional, priced very reasonably, and were a joy to work with! The office kept me up to date with schedules and payments and could NOT have been any more accomidating. Not only did they get the roof done Jesse identified the overall problem of why my roof was so bad and assisted me in getting a plumber out here to correct the overall problem. Could not have been happier with how the whole thing went down.....if you have heard horror stories about getting a new roof...change your opinion and go with these guys...it will change your whole outlook on the subject!!!
