The whole process of obtaining a new central air conditioning unit for our house through Horizon went extremely well. They showed up when they said they would and installed the unit in the time they said they would. Workers were polite and very clean. Had absolutely no issues with hiring Horizon for this job.

They have been excellent and when they do a maintenance check, they check everything. They are here longer than others by doing that but I feel they are more thorough. They are very knowledgeable and they know what they are doing. I would highly recommend them as well.

They installed a new Water Heater very quickly. For $3,000 + they moved pretty fast. I was over a barrel. Busted Water Heater, no hot water for the family, middle of winter and couldn't afford to wait or price shop so ... allowed myself to be exploited at my own kitchen table. OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPRICED Called them again to come give me a quote for replacing a bathroom faucet. (I supplied the new faucet). The installation quote was $450. OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPRICED. This time I sent the lad on his way and performed the installation myself. The technician did say to my wife on his way out, "Yeah. I know we're pricey". Now ... for the "Service Contract Trick". I bought their "Service Contact" which was for them to perform routine inspection and any necessary service to Heater, Water Heater, Central Air Conditioner. I finally was able to schedule an appointment (Service appointments are 3-4 months away so it's hard to plan) that I could be home for. The fella checked the Heater, the Water Heater but wouldn't service the Central Air Conditioner Unit because, as the technician said, "Horizon didn't sell and install this AC unit so I can't take care of it". I asked him to provide me with a price for servicing it. Again he told me he couldn't because, "It's 13 years old and needs to be replaced". He DID provide me with a written quote for a new Central Air Conditioner Unit. The PRICE, with installation came in at an OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPRICED $13,000. Yes. That's $13,000 for a Central Air System for a Town Home. Not a Shopping Mall. I checked with all my neighbors who own identical Town Homes and they paid anywhere from $6,000. - $8,000. for their Central Air Units. $13,000. $13,000. And the kicker is ... I did some basic cleaning and maintenance on the unit myself and it's working GREAT. Sure it will need to be replaced when it stops working. In my opinion HORIZON SERVICES is unscrupulously overpriced. I have no problem paying the going fee for quality goods and services. My experience with HORIZON's prices on goods and services ... they are about 40% more than most other reputable, qualified Plumber/Heater companies or service teams.

It went great. Cogswell spent plenty of time trying to determine why we were not getting proper air flow upstairs. He reviewed the installation manual and was able to determine that it was because the unit wasn't properly set right for the proper air flow. He was then able to correct the problem. We're no longer sweating upstairs in our house. Great job.
