Don Eichholz is a ripoff.  He charged almost $250 for 1.5 lbs of coolant plus a service fee.  I would never recommend this company.  Don Eichholz is not trustworthy and he took advantage of a situation.  A reasonable charge would have been half the amount of what he charged.  Because I was already responsible for the service charge, I had to pay his fee for the coolant.  Stay away from this company.

He was great.  Very professional and nice.  He was clean and let my two kids watch him closely and he explained to me what caused the problem as well as how to not do it again.

They were okay.  My wife was happy when they came.  The work was well done and they were clean.  The quality was okay but I don’t remember the price.

Eichholz was able to set up an appointment on short notice; the service person even waited a few minutes for me as I was running late after picking up my daughter.  As soon as he saw our current setup and realized we were getting a gas stove he told me the heavy duty power cords were only for electric ranges. (I had asked 2 or 3 people at the big box store if we definitely needed the cord and they all said yes, and they knew we were purchasing a gas range)  It was great to know I didn't have to have the work done and I wasn't even charged for the call.  (I did not rate the provider on quality as there was no actual work done but I would definitely call Eichholz again based on this positive experience.

He found and solved the problem, brining electricity to the rest of the house.  He did well.

He was terrific -- on time, helpful, took time to explain what he was doing.

Mr. Eichholz did the work himself.  Because his business is small (mostly just him, I think), his availability is not as flexible as bigger firms.  But that is the only less-than-positive thing I could say.  His price was reasonable, he did what he said he would do after offering several options, he was prompt and very professional.  And, most importantly, the work was well done.  I will hire him again.

The electrician (Michael) that came actually came a few minutes early.  I had to drop one of the items we originally discussed.  There was no issue.  He performed the work in under an hour, adjusted the amount and made sure the area was left as he had found it.  He gave me a receipt that day.  I received a statement later in the mail.  It was one of the most pain-free experiences I have ever had with a repairman/contractor.  I would highly recommend the firm and intend to use them again for additional upgrades/repairs to my home.

He came in, did it quick and was done.  He was excellent.  I have no complaints and I would call him again for any kind of work like that.

Last week Don Eichholz repaired our AC unit. Don services our heating and AC units seasonally.  He has performed a major electrical upgrade for us in the past.  He replaced our circuit breaker panel and increased the size of our panel, installed surge protection, and installed sub panel.  The sub panel will connect to an external generator after he finishes the project in a few weeks.

From the initial voicemail and responsive call back, I knew I had called the right business and was in good hands.  I was called several times with an update when Mr. Eichholz would be arriving.  The temperature was in the 90's without factoring in humidity.  When he arrived, I only needed to provide a small amount of information so that he could fix the problem.  I told him safety was my biggest concern.  He proceeded to take a look at the circuit breaker box for any potential problem and explained the wiring and let me know that at this time everything seemed fine and nothing needed to be replaced.  He answered several of my questions regarding safety issues and things I wanted to have upgraded.  He was clear and concise in all the explanations and made them easy to understand for someone not familiar with electrical issues.  Mr. Eichholz also changed my fluorescent lights in the kitchen and found they were not working as I had tried to change them and had the same problem.  He explained what the cause of that might be as well.  So professional, completely knowledgeable about the areas I had questions about and was more than happy to answer them and also present alternatives to problems.  I felt so comfortable asking Mr. Eichholz so many questions and also felt a great deal of confidence in his expertise.  Mr. Eichholz is one of the best providers of highly experienced professionals I have dealt with in this area.  I wish some of my other experiences with other providers were this awesome.  I have every intention of asking him to help me with work that needs to be done in the future.  I know the work would be done with the utmost of care, and he would continue to explain everything.  I will recommend his company to friends, co-workers and anyone I come in contact with that needs assistance of such high ethical, professional standards and expertise.  Eichholz Services, Inc. is my company for electrical work!  Thank you for such a great experience.

I selected Eichholz after reading the reviews on Angie's List. I left a message when I first called with brief description; received return call the same day. An appointment was made for Don to come the next day, and he arrived exactly on time. Don was courteous and professional throughout, and explained to me what he was doing and why. He diagnosed the front porch problem (which I was worried would be a big deal) quickly, as a faulty fixture, and while I drove to purchase a new one he worked on the other installation. He showed me what he was doing because of the old wiring, and explained how it would eliminate concerns about the wiring and be maintainable in future.
I was very pleased with the entire experience, and before Don left we briefly talked about two future jobs we will call him to perform for us, once we save up the money for the work. Highly recommended!!

We were very satisfied with the work.  Eicholz was able to solve a small but annoying problem with a bathroom safety switch which previously had defied solution.  He was very thorough, pleasant and explained all he was doing.  I highly recommend the service.

Mr. Eichholz has become our electrician for life. He is a very nice person and is excellent in his profession.  He explains everything.  He is very professional. He prices are fair. His work is top quality.  I would recommend to anyone.
