I called dryer vent guardian after having an issue with a dryer vent connection installed through my attic/roof. I live in a townhouse with the laundry upstairs and this is the shortest way to vent the dryer. After having to have the vent connection on the roof repaired due to improper installation by another vendor, I called dryer vent guardian for a service call to inspect the rest of the installation because I was concerned the rest of the installation was improper, which was confirmed by this service call. As a result of the service, it was determined that the original installation by another contractor was done out of code and with improper materials. At this time their technician, Isaac, explained the reasons why it was out of code, the hazards of this, and the products they have that can remedy this situation - which is difficult because of how my system needs to be vented through the attic and roof. After this, I scheduled for them to come out on a Saturday - yes they have Saturday hours - and in about an hour and a half, they corrected the improper installation. Because they had to go through the attic, I was shown pictures and video of how the installation resulted without me having to go up and check on it, and also they demonstrated the products they were installing and why it was the best product for my situation. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs dryer venting installed, especially in difficult configurations like my house.
