Ceccola Construction Co LLC
About us
I began working in the construction industry by my father’s side more than 20 ago. I had the privilege of learning from the regions best craftsmen... Professionals who took pride in their work and cared for their customers. My father worked with men that shared his impeccable standards, integrity and drive to do the job the right way every single time the FIRST time. While they taught me the trades, my father shared with me everything he could about business, instilling in me a strong work ethic and a set of core values that will never, ever change. I branched out on my own and opened ceccola construction 16 years ago. I believe our success continues year after year because of our integrity, craftsmanship, and my enthusiasm toward my work. It is very rewarding to me to know that my clients are so happy that they refer me to their friends and family over and over and over. Although the construction industry has changed quite a bit since I pounded my first nail, the way you should be treated has not. We have all the new gadgets, tools and materials, but most importantly, we will always treat you with respect and care.

Chris repeatedly emphasized his priority of doing the job correctly the first time. I especially appreciated their patience with my many questions and willingness to explain the details of their work. As a woman, I was always treated with respect and dignity. Chris and Deb are extremely organized and very professional. Deb was always responsive to my phone calls. Her detailed knowledge of the construction process and materials was very helpful, and her informed opinions were invaluable as I made decisions.
Chris stopped by to inspect and check the progress of the work regularly though the job foreman was very capable. When the crew unexpectedly encountered rotten wood around the old bay window, the foreman stopped the work and immediately contacted Chris. He came to the house on short notice, gave instructions on how to proceed, and ordered new materials to correct the problems.
The crew arrived by 7:00 am - 7:30 am and worked until at least 6:00 pm with very brief breaks. The guys worked well together and appeared to genuinely like each other. All construction debris was cleaned up daily. Chris conducted the final inspection of the work, even looking for stray nails or trash that had been overlooked. I think he found 1 nail!
Regarding price, Ceccola may not be the least expensive nor will it be the most expensive quote you will receive. The quality of materials you select is a factor, and Ceccola Construction only does business with suppliers they know and trust. If you are looking for a company that operates with integrity and refuses to compromise on quality, give Ceccola Construction a call.

They started on the Thursday before Memorial Day doing preliminary work of removing siding and rerouting furnace, water heater, and exhaust vents that had to be moved for building code compliance. They returned bright and early the following Tuesday. By the time they left very late Wednesday afternoon the deck was finished. The concrete patio was delayed by weather, but was completed about ten days later.
The job is excellent. The finished product is exactly what we'd envisioned. Their people were friendly, worked hard, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ceccolla to anyone else, and will certainly contact them again if/when another project comes up.

The service went pretty well. The owner was pretty reasonable as far as the deal went. He was not very experienced with insurance claims and he tried to rush through it a bit. Once we got him back on track his adjuster was very easy to deal with.
His roofing was great although he sub-contracted out to painters. I was not too impressed with his dry wall finishers and the work they did.
Because he is a very small business he gets very upset about the insurance adjuster not paying out on time and it kind of felt like he was taking it out on me. His professionalism was great up to that point when the checks were coming in very slow.
It was a learning experience for them, as far as dealing with insurance companies go, so I understand where his frustration came from, there.
"We appreciate all feedback – positive or negative. We strive to provide customer service above and beyond and to exceed our client’s expectations. We would like to clarify that the adjuster is an Employee of the Client’s Insurance Company, he is not our adjuster. We are accustomed to being paid when we complete a project. While we understand that adding a middle man/Insurance Company may delay payments due to things out of our control - we struggled with not receiving payments when they were promised. It is normal protocol to complete certain parts of a construction project by partnering with other professionals especially for completing specialty finishes. We look forward to working with (member names removed) again in the future."
The communication problem centered on the concrete pad demolition - and my husband bears part of the responsibility for the misunderstanding (my husband agrees with this). What happened was that in the middle of the job, Chris discovered that the concrete pad was much thicker than he assumed when he bid the job. And (understandably) Chris did not want to give the impression that he was raising the price in the middle of the job (to account for demo and removing a lot more concrete). Confusion ensued when Chris and my husband did not communicate directly on this issue. It became clear to us that the crew was not going to demo the footers completely, which we were not happy about because that had been our understanding in accepting the Ceccola bid. My husband then made the mistake of not reaching out to Chris directly to see what was going on. Instead, my husband communicated with Chris's office - his office is quite competent, but they had not seen the job. So by the time Chris and my husband talked and figured out the misunderstanding...things had gotten tense and I know both Chris and my husband did not want that. In the end, once we understood the depth of the concrete and why Chris needed to ask for more money than he originally bid to complete the demo of the footers with a more power jack hammer and we felt the amount fair, the job was finished and we paid Chris what he asked for. To his credit, throughout the situation Chris and his team were positive, respectful and worked hard to find a solution that was acceptable to us. Afterward my husband and Chris talked about it - and both of them agreed that they should have talked directly with each other sooner once the pad thickness and difficulty of removing it had been discovered.
They started the work when they said they would. Michael was the lead and they had a team of 3 (including Michael) who did most of the work. For a couple of days they brought in a 2nd team of 3-4 people to get the siding done. I only saw Chris (the owner) a few times but there were no issues so I was OK with that.
They were on time and worked until dinner time every day. They told me their goals for the day. They asked questions when needed, and happily answered my questions. They were polite, professional and friendly (to my kids and dog). I was there about 80% of the time but ran out occasionally and left the house open for them.
I really appreciated the communication. For example, one day they needed to turn off the power. They asked when would be a good time, gave me a heads up so I could save my work on the PC, and told me when they were done. Another person/company might have just turned the power off without telling me.
They did quality work. If very happy with my new house!
I paid 1/3 when the product was ordered, a 1/3 when the job was halfway done, and 1/3 when complete (and I was satisfied).
I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
The free estimate was completed very quickly, without the need to have both my husband and I present. Many options of door styles and materials were provided, along with a summary of Pros and Cons for each.
Once we contracted for the work it was scheduled for the next week. Before the doors were ordered the crew came out to measure again to ensure that the correct materials would be available. The crew was on time and extremely professional. They were nice, worked hard and did a fantastic job! Not only did they "replace" the existing doors, they also ensured that the floors were even and properly sealed near the door, replacing some older pieces of wood with pieces matching the existing floor.
The job took two and a quarter days. The site was clean and safe during the entire time. Old materials were removed for
disposal. A follow up visit/inspection was done by the owner. During this time he reviewed information on the doors, the materials, and maintenance suggestions (when to paint them, how often, type of paint, how to adjust screen doors to open/close at speed we wanted, etc).
I was very pleased with the experience from the initial phone call to finish and would recommend Ceccola for work at any time!
We are so please with Chris and his company that we no longer solicit bids for work on our house.
