They nailed through the top of the middle planks and the last 3 rows at each wall. They used light color puddy on nail holes. The floor is a dark color. They did not ensure the floor was level. They only used 2 nails per shoe molding strip and most nails were not long enough. The transition strips were incorrectly installed. They should have added a tongue strip so the transition would fit. Ours sticks up and is not solid.

"[Member name removed], Some of your points are inaccurate. I'm sorry you feel this installation was only a C. First let me address your points. As far as nailing the last 3 rows against each wall goes, that is an industry standard. Also no putty was used at all because our agreement was that you were to provide all materials and you did not provide putty. As far as the 2 nails per strip of quarter round, that is just plain false. I nail ever 8-12 inches. Your transitions we the wrong transitions period. You knew this and went to lumber liquidators twice because of it. And finally, the level of the floor I brought to your attention before we began and your words were, just go with it. Once again I am very sorry you feel this wasn't a quality installation. If you would like to call me and discuss it, I am sure we can find a way to make you happy. Thank you. -Dan"

I'm very happy with the Calahan brothers' work, from beginning to end. They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous; they kept me informed, showed up on time, were respectful of my house, and completed their work as scheduled. Their service was all-inclusive, and included helping me select the new tile and grout; tearing up the old vinyl floor and sub floor; removal of the old baseboard trim and installation of new trim; installation of new sub floor; tiling and grouting; and trimming the bottom of the door. They disposed of the old flooring and trim, and cleaned up after their job was complete. Their workmanship is excellent, and the finished floor looks great!

The service was efficient and of great quality. The brothers arrived on time and worked quickly, with great attention to detail. They were professional and had a wealth of knowledge about the work they do. It was nice to have friendly contractors in my home that really had a passion for their work. They made sure I understood what was being done and walked me through each area to make sure I was pleased. The quality of their work was impeccable and the price was affordable.
