They have done some work for me before. Their price is a little high. It is a big store. The price is irrelevant, I might think it?s high, somebody else might not. Quality is very good. That is why I use them, their quality and their workmanship. They also installed my blinds in my house too. They?ve done a bunch of stuff. They do a lot of things like that. There?s tile, flooring, windows. They did the windows and the carpet 2 years ago and it was all really good. Expensive, but it was very good. They are an ?A? quality place. They were probably here on time. I?ve used them at the beach too. I?ve used them quite a bit, it is a big company.

We hired Avalon Flooring to install laminate flooring in our family room. During the estimate, I advised the estimator Tim Brown that the concrete floor needs to be leveled in some areas and to include leveler in the estimate. The installers arrived a couple of weeks later and installed the floor, but did not use any of the leveler material and the floor remains unleveled. When we called Tim about the floor, he left us a recorded message that they used four of the five boxes of leveler and said "We can't re pour your floor for you" in a sarcastic manner. We left several messages for Tim to call us back, but he chose not to provide us with that courtesy. We called his supervisor, but again we're faced with more sarcasm and criticism. Numerous calls were made to Avalon and numerous messages were left to call us about the problem, but went unanswered, leaving us very frustrated. It appears that once they have your money, they want nothing more to do with you. The installer returned a week later to see what could be done to correct the problem. He confirmed that the leveler was not used and provided that in writing. He picked the unused leveler boxes up and returned them to Avalon. Only then did Avalon acknowledge the fact that the leveler was not used. Our bill was later adjusted to reflect the work done and material used. There was no apology, just sarcasm and criticism. They treated us like we were second class citizens. We will not be a returning customer and can not recommend them to anyone.

llation, as they state they will not We choose Avalon, because the tile we selected was not available in the sizes we wanted. We were looking for a pattern that used 3 different size tiles. We could not estimate the number of tiles, etc ourselves. Sales and estimate process was easy, price was higher than I expected, but due to the complexity of job, we accepted it. They schedule about 2 weeks out. Installation day came, one installer showed up. For a job this size, I thought they needed more. I scheduled myself to be home in the morning around installation as they state they will not disconnect gas or water lines. Guy did a great job, but it did take 5 full days of work. He put up plastic to limit the amount of dust that was released throughout the house. He did a great job on the installation, my only concern being the amount of time it took. Installer was professional and courteous.

I picked out tiles at the store and scheduled an appointment for an estimator to come out. He was punctual and professional. He told me that he would have to have the threshold between the kitchen and the dining room custom made because I did not want a metal threshold. It would be about a month before the floor could be installed. I had no problem with that. On April 25th, the installers came out and the piece that was ordered was not correct. I also had an entire box of materials left over. The work that was done was very nice but not complete. At first I was told that I could not return the extra material but after speaking with the manager I was given a credit. On June 2nd I got a call from the store and they told me the piece was in but he wanted to look at it and make sure it was right. He would call me the next day. I called him on June 6th to see what was going on. They told me the piece came in and was broken and needed to be reordered. I asked them to have the manager call and let me know what was going on. I wanted to know if I had to wait another month. I still have not heard back from the store and am still without a threshold. As far as I am concerned this job is not completed. I had a window installer come in and replace some windows. He commented that he could not believe that it had not been completed yet. He kept tripping over the old piece. It is a hazard for people who do not live in the house and do not know to walk and quot;overand quot; it. I am very unhappy with the lack of response from the store. The installers did a good job and if nothing had gone wrong I probably would have given them a good rating. But I would caution anyone who is considering using them to be wary if anything goes wrong because once they have your money they do not appear to be in any hurry to complete the job.

They're really nice and their salespeople were great. The quality of work that they have done was still great. They did a good job on the installation. I used them quite a few times over the last 10 years.

They did a really good job on my hardware floors. They were prompt and on time, the estimate was exact. There was some damages done to my fireplace and they took it off my bill to compensate. They also removed my carpet.

Very well. Picked carpeting at store site, made appt for carpet estimater who arrived promptly at appointed time. She was friendly and efficient. Carpet was put in at appointed time. Workmanship was neat and cleanup also.I have dealt with Avalon capeting in New Jersey and PA and have had no complaints.

The arrived on time and worked quickly and acted professionally. The only problem I found was a small area of a rip near the refrigerator, which may have occurred when they put the refrigerator back.

We could not have been happier with our experience with Avalon and the various people we dealt with. I sincerely wish I could remember the exact names of each person we dealt with because each one of them provided excellent service in their specific areas. I believe Jason or Justin? was our salesman. He could not have been nicer, more knowledgable, or more patient with our questions. We did not feel pressured at all to buy a certain type of carpet but rather felt like he was guiding us according to our requests and needs. The woman who came out to measure (Terry?) and write up our job was so kind, professional, pleasant ,and helpful. The installers were equally as fantastic!!! Their experience was obvious immediately! They were willing to go the extra mile. We had a closet door that came off the tracks prior to the install and when we could not locate a small piece of wood to repair it ourselves, the gentlemen went out of their way to scrounge up something of their own from their truck and fixed it themselves!!!! Our carpet looks and feels great! Thank you, Avalon! We will return!!!
***I do hope that the names of each individual involved with our particular job will be sought by Avalon as they certainly deserve kudos for their collective efforts!!!

All went well, from the estimator to the installation. We had to call the installer back for a minor repair and they were very responsive - no issues.

Not much to say, they did a great job!

We had done a lot of homework before going to the store, so we knew pretty much what we wanted. Donna was our sales rep and very well informed about the products, very professional and personable. We also found other reps in the store interested in making sure we were being helped while Donna was off the floor checking a price. We took some samples home to evaluate how they looked with the wall color, then made our selection. Donna set up to have another rep come out to measure and bring samples of cove base to see what matched the floor. This person was also very professional, personable and efficient and provided the final estimate and took a deposit at the time of the visit. Installation date was set, later than we would have liked but at least we had confidence that they would be there. The installers did an excellent job, clean, professional and on time.







I had read other reviews about people receiving the wrong materials so I made sure I took down all the information about my selections and checked the flooring and cove base before they were taken out of the truck. There was no problem

Ten days later, I wanted it brought to my home, but no, I had to drive back to the store for 45 minutes and pick up a new can. I opened this on site and it was also defective. The man who was supposed to do the work was unable to because of the defective grout and had to go on to another job. They said they would investigate why their cans were defective. A month passed, they never contacted me back. They said they had not idea why this happened. In the meantime, I don't have a shower or toilet facilities. Finally, they sent new grout and it seemed to be okay. So, I had to pay the installer to come back and put this grout in. Two days later I notice the grout is cracked. I called Armstrong and they sent two floor inspectors out here. Since then, we have heard nothing. grout is not supposed to crack. They won't tell us what to do. We have a claim in. They have never reimbursed it. We correspond on email, when we initiate the correspondence. If the floor has to be ripped out, we have to start over. We can't park any cars in the garage as it is full of toilets and sinks! My experience with Avalon has been so disappointing. They have a great variety of products, but their customer service is nil. The problem obviously is the product and the product belongs to Armstrong. Avalon is not helping to get this right. Different people have our money. We have no bathroom, because of this floor! How can you rate a price on something that is of no value? If you buy something and it does not work, it is not worth it!

Avalon Carpet Tile and Flooring has been wonderful. We have used them in the past. They have excellent quality and are very professional. They respond to your needs immediately. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

The sales staff were knowledgeable and listened to our requirements and preferences before making product recommendations. Estimator came on time and was quick and efficient. The installers were fantastic. They showed up on time, did an excellent job, and cleared up nicely afterwards. The carpet installers moved the furniture out, and then back into place after the carpets were down. Maybe not the cheapest, but definitely good quality work and good value. We are delighted with our new flooring.

Avalon's subcontractor installed a hardwood floor in our family room. The estimator did a good job of matching our to the hardwood flooring originally installed in other rooms in our home about 9 years ago. Of two options considered, he recommended the manufacturer's lower priced floor as the best match for our job, even though would have paid for the next grade up. In the end he was right on with his recommendation. It is a beautiful floor, even nicer quality than the ones originally installed by the builder. Materials were reasonably priced, maybe 50 cents/sf higher than best internet pricing but they have a 12 yr. installation warranty. In the end vs. internet options, I was sold by both the professionalism and sincerity of the salesman and the estimator.
The installers were prompt and professional and had a high level of craftsmanship. They had to deal with an unexpected concrete fireplace foundation that we found when we took the carpeting up which was about 6 inches wide and 1/4 inches higher than the subfloor. They did a great job of framing the fireplace out over this foundation and shimming the floor so the difference is not noticeable.
They did a great job of mixing up the boards for color variety, rejecting the few boards with defects and working without expensive transition moldings to trim and meet the hardwood precisely the the tiled floors of our foyer and kitchen. I also had them install the quarter round - they supplied when they originally delivered the materials. I painted it and they installed it-again perfectly, down to caulking every gap for a seemless and highly professional installation.
The two installers worked very hard, moved quickly, were courteous and cleaned up very well after themselves. They were friendly and helpful, even taking away the carpeting that we had removed, and helping us put felt pads (we supplied) on the heavy furniture before they put the furniture back in place.

They moved furniture, removed carpet, nailed down tongue-and-groove hardwood.
They replaced the furniture.
The floor looks beautiful.
