Excellent experience from start to finish. Work was quality, clean, professional and timely. Mr Brobst allowed me to choose my own flooring and fixtures, and also worked hand in glove with the plumber, so there were no delays at all, and project was completed well within the quoted time frame. Mr. Brobst also gave me valuable advice re: fixture options for my elderly father for whom we were remodeling, and clearly communicated measurements and such which prevented mistakes on my part that would have resulted in extra work for me and delays for us both. Highly recommend!

We went in with four other owners at the same time to replace roofing and Eric was able to drive down the price as a result - coming in cheaper than his competitors in the process. His work crew was prompt, efficient, and delivered a great result. We will be using Brobst Home Improvements for more home improvement projects moving forward. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: Worked directly with Eric on a roofing project on a townhome (rental property).

Mr. Brobst came out to look at our property and give us an estimate on building a roof over our existing patio. We thought maybe just a small, slightly sloped flat roof (like a lean-to) would give us a little shade in the summer, and protect us from weather when we were in our hot tub. After looking at the area, and where it would mount to our home, Mr. Brobst explained that asthetically it would look better to extend the roof off of our existing home which would create a uniform look from both the rear and sides of the home. He said he could match the roofline and pitch to our sunroom roof, and that way if we decide we want to enclose it later as either a porch or an addition, it would save us a lot of time and money. He also went into the attic of our current home to ensure that he could run the trusses the same way, keeping the home uniform throughout. He worked up an estimate for both ideas (our original and his suggested) and presented them to us within a couple of days. He said he wanted us to think the ideas over so we were certain we would be happy with the finished project. The estimates were way lower than we were expecting, especially for the design he suggested. Between the very reasonable cost, and the points he had made that we hadn't considered, it was a no brainer to choose the more detailed design he had suggested. We called him and told him we decided on the larger, more effective design but asked if we could have a couple of weeks to be sure we had the money. The work was done about 2 years ago, so I don't recall if we gave a deposit or not, but I believe we did. When we were ready, we called and he set up the schedule for us. He and his company got all of the required permits, and were on time every morning until the job was complete. It took less than a week from start to finish (permits, pouring footers, ordering trusses, etc.) and they handled every detail and we barely new they were here. His employees were friendly and didn't mind me being nosey and watching them work. They even explained some of the steps to me when I asked. They left the worksite clean every day, and matched and staggered our existing shingles so perfectly you cannot see where the old ones are and the new begins! A year later, we decided to build a wall on one side to give us privacy from the neighbor when. We called Mr. Brobst again, to see if he could help us with matching the wall of the existing home to the new wall, even though we were building it ourselves. He gladly came over, gave us a few pointers, and offered to have his siding guys come over to match up the siding (for a small fee of course). We hired him for the finishing touches, and they did a beautiful job once again, staggering the old siding to the new siding and you cannot see any seams. It looks as though the addition is part of the original home design. I put February 2014 as our last date of contact because with all of the snow and storms throughout the fall and winter, we noticed a faint dripping one evening, just inside the new roof where it attached to our house. Even with over 3 inches of snow on the ground, Mr. Brobst came out first thing the next morning, to see where the water was coming from. He found a spot on the roof where a shingle had either blown off or come loose (don't remember the exact cause) but he promptly got on his phone and had 2 guys there that afternoon to fix the issue. Fortunately for them, most of the snow melted off the roof, so they were able to climb up and repair the issue with no problem. They replaced a few of the shingles around the area and added an extra layer of flashing (I think that's what it was called - protective barrier between the shingles and roof) to ensure we would not have an issue again. They fixed the issue free of charge, and we tried to tip the guys for coming out so quickly on such a chilly day but they wouldn't accept it. Great group of guys, beautiful work, and they are more than willing to assist with any issues that arise even 2 years after the work was originally performed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

He has also come and replaced/checked windows in my home. He's replaced doors and has done other small projects. He's put new stair casings in for me. He's done everything I've asked him to do. Two weeks ago they came out to have them put some insulation in the addition they had done for us and we're very please with that. Eric is a great guy. He came in, evaluated what needed to be done. He wrote up an estimate down to the penny and stuck to that and did it in a very timely and professional manner. He sent out a letter breaking everything down for us as well.
Description of Work: Mr. Brobst has done an addition to my home back in 2002. I was very pleased with that. He did an excellent job.

Previously the room was just too long to use properly. They divided the room into the office and the laundry room. The desk and cabinets are a U-shape that was all designed by them. I love my office! I do taxes, and there is so much room! It is very well equipped. I am thinking of having them add more shelving on the walls. They are always right on time and took short lunches. They never left any mess at all, which was great! I thought the pricing was excellent! I called several different places, and none of the others were able to give me as much detail about the job as he did. He drew up the plans in detail on a computer, marked the floors to show me where the U-shape was going to be, and went over everything in detail before I signed anything or paid him!
Description of Work: They built an office into my home. This included new hardwood floors in the entire first floor of my home (except the living room), a built in desk, and built in cabinets. This also included moving the laundry room that was previously in the basement.
