Interior Painting
Previously it was all white on all 4 walls and bookshelves, with a bay window letting even more light in. My fiance let me have the choice to decorate this portion of his 50yr old house. I wanted to update something without shocking my fiance, who typically opts for neutral/subdued style. I chose the color green which is our favorite color. But there are plenty of shades of green! The owner/painter Mike, gave us suggestions to find a couple shades that we each liked in a trial size ($2-4) from the Lowe's. He gave us advice to paint a portion of a wall with each color and let it dry, and whether we still liked the color during a bright/sunny or dark/night conditions. We had not considered this before, and sure enough, we were able to make a decision as a result of his advice!
Initially I was worried about some of the furniture that was left in the room (getting damaged or splattered with paint). However, he was careful and kept the area tidy each time he left for the day. Since the green I chose is on the darker side, he had to return multiple times until the shade was just right. I was really impressed that Mike gave us the great idea to add design to what was going to be a boring paint job! Notice the cabinetry outlined with green... this was an ALL white room previously. My fiance and I were torn on whether to keep this all white, or replace the doors with glass. Instead, Mike suggested showing us what it would look like if he were to outline the doors with green. We loved how that little bit of design added dimension to the room.
We are very happy with the work performed, and recommend Molitor Painting to anyone!
