We love our new basement. John was a true professional in explaining everything on the completion of our basement. Will keep BBW in mind for future projects as needed.

John did a fantastic job on finishing our basement and created a unfinished basement into a beautiful large room. His expertise and skill with interior design, flooring, lighting, and carpentry gave us a completed project that constantly receive raves from family and friends. He went above and beyond with the setting up my home entertainment system and was available to me for a few technical problems. In addition when I had an injury to my knee, John carried a freezer by himself to the basement for me . His price was fair and most of all he was available for any minor problems after the project was completed. If your looking for a contracter that does excellent work you will be pleased with Big Bad Wolf!!!!!!!

John is the man! Very nice to deal with, best value for the money and really makes sure it's done the right way! Recommended to my friends already and will come back myself for many projects to come.

This was a major project which included changing the existing house roof design, a garage addition, new roof, siding, and trim. John was very easy to work with and was very responsive. The work quality was very good. The result is exceptional.

I was very hesitant to hire a contractor to finish my basement. Now that it is completed, I am very happy I selected John over the many others interviewed. The basement is beautiful and exactly as we had discussed prior to starting the project. He was very flexible with minor changes and completed quality work. I will contact John again should I have any additional home improvement needs. Nice work John!

Project Nightmare is finally over. I checked out this website and all the reviews before we hired BBW Construction - John Lee. Without going into all the gory details, we paid all of our deposits and materials costs as outlined in our contract by the last week in January 2018. Everything was going fine up to that point. After many text messages, emails, phone calls and no committed start/completion date outlined in our signed agreement, John and his crew finally got started the first week in September 2018 and finished the last week of November 2018. 8+ Months from our verbal "we are targeted to start the first week in April"!!!! (keep in mind he now has 40% of our money for the project as of January 2018). We got strung along all year with "we plan to get out there in a couple weeks to get started" While I understand things come up (rain and family emergencies) and BBW is a "small business" he clearly doesn't have the resources to manage projects while he is away traveling and not engaged with his projects. His crew is not competent to work on projects without his oversight and is unclear on where they need to obtain permits based on where the project is located. A 276 sq foot deck and small front walkway shouldn't be this difficult from a licensed/approved company. Lack of communication and commitment from this company is the biggest disappointment any homeowner would have to endure. If you decide to use this company, be sure to put in a specific start date and completion date for your project into your signed contract. Be sure your signed contract stats every little thing including agreed upon pricing and specific details of your project including sizes of all project work and materials; or you will be very disappointed. While a verbal agreement is always nice to have, make sure it is in writing or who knows when your project will get started, completed or even what you originally agreed upon. What a disappointment!

We first hired John to remodel our finished basement. He gave us wonderful ideals and laid our a detailed plan on how the project would look and what would be entailed. Our family loves the new basement, especially the new bathroom that his team installed. We recently decided that it was time to replace our roof and we reached out to John for a quote. I felt that John was far more detailed and was able to explain the process better than any of the other quotes we received and we are extremely happy with our new roof. Big Bad Wolf will definitely remain a contact for me and anyone I know.

John was so professional and really did an amazing job. The finishing touches and the quality of work done was just outstanding. From start to finish he had really great communication with us. The job came in in a good time frame and within our budget. It is really beautiful. Couldn't ask for a better experience or a better end result.

We hired John Lee (Big Bad Wolf) to finish our basement, and what we got in return was a beautifully customized addition to our living space that we will be able to use and enjoy for many years to come. When we first hired John, it was, of course, after many appointments and estimates from several different remodeling companies. Ultimately, it was John's knowledge, professionalism, honesty, and flexibility that influenced us in this very important decision. Before the project began, he came out to our house without hesitation several times to answer additional questions and concerns we had. He listened to our customizing ideas, discussed floor plan options, and scrupulously reviewed the materials to be utilized during the process. Once the job finally started, we were excited, but at the same time, we were very anxious about what was to come. With a basement-finishing project, there are so many things that could go unplanned. However, working with John eased our concerns because of his ability to effectively communicate the timeline, and discuss each step in the process before it actually began. His crew and contractors were also great to work with. They were friendly, professional, and respectful of our property. All persons involved in the process consistently ensured that we were satisfied with the work that was being accomplished. At the finish of the project, we now have a movie area with a 120 inch screen, LCD projector, a superb surround sound system, as well as customized built-ins and lighting. We also have a wet bar, surrounded by wood tile, a fully carpeted area for games, an additionally installed TV, more surround sound and customized lighting throughout. Lastly, we have a beautifully installed, tiled, full bathroom. Notably, John could be trusted to professionally install the costly AV equipment that we would be hesitant to trust some contractors with. Most importantly, John;s knowledge of his craft, and the fact that he is a perfectionist when it comes to his work resulted in a beautifully finished and remodeled space. Anyone that comes to our home comments that it feels as if the space is a part of the home, rather than just a basement. This project was much more than a "job" to John, as he truly took pride in making sure that the space was exactly what we had hoped for, and much more. The only aspect of the experience that was a bit frustrating was the amount of time it took for the entire project to be completed from start to finish. Even after taking into consideration the various facets of a basement-finishing project, such as inspections, multiple contractors, and the changes in customization we decided to make, we found that on some days, work would get started later than we anticipated or some days, no work was being done at all, because he was trying to provide the same amount of care and attention to his other simultaneous projects. What an excellent experience working with John. He is actually a contractor you can trust. He is open, honest, and overall an effective communicator. He never left me in the dark during any part of the project. BBW's associates are also hard working, polite, and professional. Our new roof was installed in a timely manner, without any surprises. The price was competitive and reasonable, too! I would highly recommend using BBW to anyone looking for contracting help.

John is a rare find in the construction world. We hear so many complaints that contractors do not communicate with owners. John is very professional and follows through with commitments. Although our project took much longer to finish than promised we were very happy with the finished construction quality. John was also unafraid to work with two very picky homeowners who had detailed specifications. It should be noted that BBW Construction is still a small company. John has relationships with several reliable sub-contractors but it is very difficult for John to manage multiple projects (and clients) and keep everyone happy. When you work with a small business you must be willing to be flexible and understanding of their limitations.

John was wonderful to work with and we will definitley use him again. He takes pride in his work and his customer service is off the charts. Our project was completed on time despite two major weather events. Schools and businesses were closed but the Big Bad Wolf guys still showed up. My only regret is that I didnt know about this company earlier.

John was very professional , and recommended what i need for my basement finishing. He is accessible all the time and attends very promptly for my calls and messages.

John was very professional and accommodating to incorporating our ideas and suggestions for our basement. He had an excellent staff for painting, electric and tiling. Although the project took longer than anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances the end result was worth the delay. We would highly recommend John and we plan on hiring him for additional projects.

John was absolutely fantastic and all of the people who worked with him were truly professional - John worked non-stop to make sure the job was finished in a timely matter, including weekends - he is extremely meticulous and keeps his promises - I have heard nightmares about contractors but this company stands by their word - I would hire them again in a minute.

John and his team are true professionals and craftsman. Throughout the project John demonstrated his desire to create a basement that met all of our needs and wants, while providing his expertise and guidance as well. We could not have asked for a more perfect basement!

Big Bad Wolf did an amazing job on all three of our home projects.

John Lee was always very quick with reponses, and was very much hands-on. If something didn't work, he was quick to come up with workable alternate solutions. Our renovated deck, and paver walk really spruced up our back yard, and we have had many favorable comments from neighbors, not only on the deck and walk, but also the attractive new roofing shingles.

I would highly recommend BBW Construction Company. John was very in tuned to my vision, and provided excellent service and a quality product. His attention to detail was awesome, and his follow up and follow through was second to none. The project took a little longer than I expected, but honestly, the end result was very worth the wait.

John Lee (BBW Construction) was very friendless, helpful, and professional throughout the renovation process. His subcontractors were all skilled, personable, and very careful in and around our property. The project we completed on time and in in accordance with our agreed specifications. John was very helpful from a design perspective and worked with us to develop an end product with which we are delighted. He keeps a photographic record of his previous projects as evidence of the quantity and quality of his work. If the opportunity presents itself, I'll bring in John and BBW again with out hesitation.

Very easy to work with and very personable.

BBW was very patient with both our insurance and mortgage company during our renovation and repair process. The workmanship and materials were both high quality and although there were some issues getting payouts processed John was very courteousness and understanding throughout the process. I would use them in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company with integrity, value and quality.
