The TV was Repaired under Warranty with a 90 day warranty for the service provider. About 60 days later the picture became darker and I was told that this was a different problem. I called the company which I purchased the extended warranty from Home Shopping Club and they refused to help. I called the manufacturer and tech support informed me that the part they replaced could be causing the TV to go dark . So i called them again and have not received a return call.
