Description of Work: We renovated and added to a house that ended up at 4,000 SF. NJ Flooring was the installer for all carpet, tile and laminate. On the surface everything seemed grand, but after a few months, obvious quality issues arose. Crumbling grout in the master bath, which he "fixed" twice, but is still not right, laminate not cut to match walls with gaps showing under shoe molding, and most importantly, our kitchen floor of Luxury Vinyl tile had to be replaced due to poor sub-floor work and very wrong grout work.

Generally did a decent job on carpet install, but other flooring turned in to a nightmare. Tile in master bath shower surround had to be redone twice to have a decent job. Tile in master bath had to be re-grouted and then we discovered that a large area of tile had been laid with dried mastic and was not secured. Had to have that redone. The luxury vinyl tile grout in the kitchen was full of cracks and yellowed quickly. Had to be redone. When the grout was done the first time, it was not cleaned properly leaving a grout residue all over the tiles. This required had cleaning with Mr Clean eraser to get it cleaned. The laminate flooring in the hall was done OK except along the edges and doors where gaps repain.
Description of Work: Installed flooring for Abbey Carpet in Seaford (carpet, ceramic tile, laminate floor and luxury vinyl tile) in our house that was renovated and added to.

I signed a contract with Steve Corsi of NJ Flooring, LLC on June 27j, 2013 to take care of termite damage on the side of my house to include replacing 5 windows. He kept putting my job off because he said he had so much work and I was very understanding about it and very patient. He finally said he would be able to start the job on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, and he said they would be starting the job and working all day. One of his worker's showed up around 11am and dropped the windows and had one of his guys see how much work needed to be done and said they would be back on Thursday to "start ripping away". So, on Thursday nobody showed up and at 10:19am, Steve text me and said "Running behind sorry My dam truck and guys are killing me." and I was not happy and responded to his text "U r killing me. Not happy". Remember, I had been waiting since June 27th to have work done. So after a few exchanges I was not confident in his ability to take care of my work I fired him and asked him to deliver the material that was purchased for my job, since I paid for it. One of his guy's finally showed up later in the day with 1/2 (half) of the material to do the job, he dropped off insulation, sheathing and some 2x4's, no hardware to do the work. He said the rest would be delivered the next day.....well to make a long story short, after numerous promises to deliver the rest of the material he still has not shown up. He is telling me that what he delivered was $2,250.00 worth of material. When he delivered the windows I was a little upset because he kept telling me he ordered the windows from Window World and I knew they would take a long time to come in. Well, the windows that were delivered were cheap RF Rich windows that he actually got at Salisbury Roofing for $150/each on the 4 large windows and $100 for the smaller window. So the windows were $724 (I called and got the price and found out they only take a week once ordered) He told me he charged me $1,400 for these windows....and I was outraged and questioned his $600 mark up on windows and pointed out to him that around this area the standard mark up was 30% for a contractor and his response in text to me was "What other contractors do is there business my mark up is higher". But if you go on his website at www.NJflooringonline.com he says that he will beat any price and that he's lower. He has no intention of refunding any of the money or even delivering the rest of the material. He owes me approximately $1,232.00 and he is not going to do it. I hope word gets around about this guy because I really think he has stolen from me and I am disabled and it took a long time for me to save up this money for this work to be done. Beware....Do not hire this company....
Description of Work: Steve Corsi of NJ Flooring, LLC was hired to take care of termite damage on the side of my house to include replacing 5 windows. He dropped off some insulation, 2x4's and some sheathing along with the windows and had one of his guys see how much work needed to be done and said they would be back on Friday to work and they called and came up with a story about truck trouble and his guys were making him late. He was originally suppose to actually start the work the day before on Sept. 19th. I had to fire him because he continually put me off and never came. The worse thing is he refuses to deliver the remainder of the material and I had to go and purchase the additional material to have the work completed with another company. I paid him half up front of $2,250 and he said that he spent that total amount on material. He owes me around $1,232.00 and he is refusing to refund the money.
