Everything went great. Matt called back within 24 hours of my first call. He was able to go to the property without us being there and then met with us to provide a very detailed estimate and statement of work to remove the old deck and build a new deck to our specifications. We went a lot bigger and I had a lot of ideas about railings and stairs which Matt and Randy incorporated beautifully. Weather and the need for a full property survey did slow us down a little bit. Once construction got going everything moved very quickly - it was roughly two to three weeks before everything was completed and Matt send me photos of the progress regularly. The only access to the house is from the deck and Matt made sure we were able to have full access on the weekends. The work site was left impeccable every day. I walk around barefoot a lot and never found a stray nail, screw nor splinter of wood. The deck is gorgeous; SO much better than I envisioned. The cost was a little higher than the other guys but the quality of the craftsmanship is outstanding.

Signed contract on 11/15/2017. Waited patiently for Thanksgiving to pass and followed up with business in early Dec. Matt Mofia side they “would try to fit me in by end of Dec.” Dec passes and I follow up first of Jan. Matt responded he couldn’t start due to weather (even though there are several contractors working in my neighborhood). I replied that should be okay as long as work starts by mid Jan (per my HOA work has to start within 60days of approval). Matt responds saying he can’t commit because of weather, I responded with @$&@$&..and said I wanted a refund. They stopped communicating with me and won’t provide a full refund. I’ve filed a complaint with BBB and have taken this to State Police (Troop 7).

Matt Moffa and Randy Sturdivant do all of the work themselves. They only subcontracted the electrical work and we had our own HVAC installer. They took almost a year to complete the job, which is reasonable considering the scope of the work. We left them to their work while we stayed at our regular house six hours away and they were totally trustworthy. They handled all of the permitting process. They sent us pictures almost daily of their progress and any issues they discovered were discussed and handled. They did fantastic work and we recommend them wholeheartedly. We collaborated on design details by text or phone and they were very accommodating of our desires. They were great even when we disagreed on design. True professionals.
