Driveway Gate Service
$3,400
I hired a YOUNG man, who moved into my neigbors house. He will be the son in law of my neighbor in the future. I was told by my neighbor that this YOUNG man was good. Well, I decided to give the small business guy a chance, again, and again I got screwed. I hired him to put up a new fence and 2 gates in my backyard. He said it would take about 3 days. It took 2 weeks. He just left me hanging without telling me when he was going to show up. Nothing about this fence is correct. Some of the posts are not measured right so the fence is not attached correctly. One of the posts he even put little pieces of wood on so he could attach the fence. One side of the fence goes in a deep dip from start to finish, instead of being level. It took him 5 times to get the gates done and they are still wrong. He has the nails from the brackets coming through the fence slates so you see the nails sticking out and will eventually break the slates. Neither gate closes right and there is a big space in the back gate. There is nothing right about this whole job. He verbally and vicously attacked me and my husband in the back yard when we were pointing out the mistakes. He called me on the phone yelling at me and telling me that he will finish the job when he can. Of course, he already got paid, which was my fault, as I should not have trusted him. I had given him a deposit toward redoing my deck, and of course after seeing his awful work and the fight we both decided it would be better if he did not do the deck. Now he refuses to return my $300.00 deposit. He had told me he was liscenced. He was not. He got his liscence on 4/9/2012 and that was after he finished the job on 4/5/12. Liscence #2012603124.
