Precision Builders was the contracting company hired by Lowe's to oversee the work on my kitchen remodel and the taking up of old tile and laying new tile through the majority of my house. The work done by Mr. Wright's subcontractors was generally of high quality once it was actually done. The electricians and plumbers he used were great. They were there when they said they'd be there and the work was high quality. The subcontractor who laid the new tile did an beautiful job of the actual tiling, but was slow, left an incredible mess and was not careful with areas where the tile butts up against a hardwood floor. He did not mask the hardwood and the grout got into the wood floor. (It took hard labor on hands and knees with a toothbrush to finally get rid of the mess.) The carpenter was a disaster. While his work is beautiful, he had a million excuses for not being there on time and, many times, for not being there at all. Instead of hiring a different carpenter, Mr. Wright kept making excuses and promising that things would be done, but then did not follow through. It was mostly because of the carpenter that the job took months instead of weeks. The painters did a fair job, but I had to have them back to do areas that they had missed. I was told the project would take two to four weeks once begun. The work began on January 21, 2013. I had thought I would be able to stay in the house, but after a couple of weeks, when everything had been torn out but no work on the installation of the kitchen or floors had begun, I had to move out and go to temporary quarters. I was not able to move back in to the house until mid-April. The last thing Mr. Wright did in the house was not completed until May. There is still a piece of quarter-round molding he was to have taken care of that was never attended to. That it took over 2.5 months to do a four-week job is unconscionable. I was furious with both Lowe's and Precision Builders. When the job was done the house was filthy. The new cabinets had sawdust and wood shavings left in them. The new tile floor and areas of the already existing hardwood floor were covered with grout. There was dirt and some debris left on the floor and counters. When I spoke to Mr. Wright about cleaning up, he offered to have a family member come in to clean?if I would pay for it. I had no way of withholding payment until things were done to my satisfaction (because of having done all of this through Lowe's?but that's another story), so I had no leverage to make the contractor move the job along at a reasonable pace or clean up the mess left behind. Throughout the entire ordeal, Mr. Wright was a poor communicator. He was tardy returning phone calls, and a number of times I had to call Lowe's and complain before Mr. Wright would return my calls. He also frequently failed to let me know when someone would be late or unable to show up. The kitchen and new tile floors are beautiful, but I would not recommend Precision Builders to anyone.

Contractor said project was too small for their company to handle based on description of the problem given. So a subcontractor was brought in to assist in the evaluation of the problem. This was an insurance claim so I gave them the appraisal which also didn't clearly address the cause of the leaking roof. The contact for Precision looked the appraisal over and gave me some possible solutions but said none would be a guarantee. So I elected not to hire them to do the work. Not their fault. I needed to shop around for more recommendations.
Description of Work: Called contractor for leaking roof evaluation. No services were performed. Contractor could not determine exact cause of problem.
