When faced with a crossroad in our lives we all have the opportunity to choose when, where and how we find our healing. Some find it at the gym, some find it on the dance floor, and some search for it in unhealthier ways. As for me, I found it in my home. It started with changing a broken faucet in my kitchen and poured out into every room thereafter.
As I moved through each room in my home it got me thinking, this is it. THIS is my purpose. To help others heal and change their inner self while changing the spaces they inhabit. And with that, London Rock Homes was born.
The name London Rock is the combination of my two oldest children's names; London James & Rocklyn Starr. My third child Harley is represented by the 'H' in Homes. My children are at the root and the heart of everything I do.
I discovered my love of interior design & homestyling when the world ended. Not really, but during the great quarantine of 2020 I changed a broken faucet in my kitchen and didn't stop until I tackled every room in my home. And in each room, joy was found.
My creative experience runs the gammit from retail store visuals & merchandising, to beauty public relations, to also owning my children's arts brand, London Rock Art. I have received my Interior Design certificate from the New Skills Academy and am currently enrolled in the Interior Design program with the New York Institute of Art & Design with an expected completion date of February 2022.
I believe that creating beautiful, organized, and functional physical spaces can set the foundation for those emotonally safe spaces. Those spaces where we can show up as we are in its entirety to live freely and unapologetically.
So, lets grab a hammer and break through those layers.
