Gibellino Construction Company was the firm that contacted me after I reported the damage to my insurance company. They were in touch promptly and worked steadily during the process to keep me posted. The folks at the office were readily available for questions and always courteous. Ed DiBonis, who managed the job, spoke with me regularly, often daily, while the work was going on. The only other contractor I met face to face, and who did the lion's share of the actual work was very polite and kept the place clean as the work progressed. The work was well done and timely. When there was a timing glitch (there was only one, and it was minor), Ed went out of his way to keep things on track. The work that was done completely restored the property and was done on budget. I had a few extra items done that were improvements over and above the damage, and they were reasonably priced and also done in a quality manner. IMO, they went above and beyond in cooperating in keeping the overall home clean and livable while they did major work. Obviously, I don't recommend having your home damaged and having to have this type of work done, but Gibellino made the process bearable. i had known of the company by name, but had never dealt with them previously. If I am ever unlucky enough to have to go through this type of damage repair scenario, I would insist on their being the company who did the work. They have my strong recommendation.

Gibellino Construction and sub-contractors did an outstanding job. They were very easy to work with. They did excellent work. They were friendly, prompt and communicated very well. They also provided a few tips along the way. Thanks to Drew McMullin and his crew.

A water pipe on the second floor burst, causing damage to the floor on
the second floor and ruining my tin ceiling and damaging the finish on
the random plank wood flooring in the first floor kitchen, as well as
some damage to plaster walls. Not only did they have to tear out the
tin ceiling, but 100 year old plaster and lath behind it. Kitchen
cabinets and an oven had to be removed and rehung. Floor needed to be
repaired, re-sanded and refinished. They subcontracted the re-sanding work out,
as well as the replacement flooring on the second floor and final
painting, but their Construction Manager oversaw and carefully checked
on everything. Because of delays getting the tin ceiling, work was done
over a period of about 6 weeks. The Gibellino contractors (Jeff and
Walt) did quality, careful work, and took pains to be sure everything
was completely satisfactory. I've never encountered more conscientious
workers in 30+ years of home ownership. They taped off the areas they
were working in and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves every day,
making the disruption easier to bear. I would give them an A+ if you
had one, and recommend them without reservation!

Overall, I really liked the Gibellino team. From the estimate guy, their secretary and the construction guys - they were professional, friendly, and did quality, timely work. They were very nice people to deal with. Their work was excellent. I would use them again if ever needed. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.
